Ford tried so many updates on those lifter springs. The only ones worth a damn are the titanium ones in the ambulance engines. They also have the roller exhaust bearings and many don’t know that the intake oil regulator baffle vanes are made from silver. Werewolves.

Basically regulates the vacuum in the intake to make sure the baffle vanes don’t get hit with uneven airflow, unbalancing the intake manifold and potentially causing enough blowback to flood the engine Seen it happen rarely on cars with larger engines, usually >4.0l engines run dry on the intake side but some older 3.0l 4 cylinders had intake lubrication systems on their carburetors
