Ford 7.3L GODZILLA SWAP and NEW CONTROL SYSTEM COMING!!!!

When Ford announced the 7.3L gasoline engine we were more than excited. But when we found out the details, we COULD NOT wait to get our hands on one! This engine is setup for awesome performance as it comes and has a TON of potential when built. We are working with OBR Control Systems on a new engine swap computer setup targeted for the Godzilla 7.3L and Coyote platforms.

I'm in heaven, been doing research on how to put one in my street strip fox body and was stumped how to control it. This engine is a game changer for the Ford community 1000 dollars cheaper than a gen 2 coyote. Can't wait to see the camshaft and intake selection when they come available.

05-10 mustangs is exactly what I was thinking when I heard about this motor. Hopefully that pcm will play well with all the factory stuff on the 3v cars so there’s no need to hack and splice wiring to try to get the brake lights and TC to work.

YES!!! I was hoping someone would throw this in a S197. I love my 3v for what it is but if this motor becomes a very viable option for swaps in addition to a coyote, I’d probably go with this. OHC is great for what you can do with lower displacement and technology, but I miss my notchback Fox. I’d love to know I could have new school Ford pushrod fun in my S197.

Love it and more videos of it please! May wanna get rid of those factory coil wires I heard some 7.3 owners have been having to get new ones cause of misfire issues ( coil wires not working). Do a n/a build with just headwork and a nice healthy roller setup. I like B. Wolfe engine also but I wanna see how far it goes with a roller and stock pistons/rod.

How tall is that powertrain from top to bottom.. doesn't look like it's gonna fit it much.. with stock hood?.. maybe F150 not my cup of tea but great marketing for it with the PCM.. what about connecting to BCM? Can the traction control be dialed in like on Bosch or Motec..

@palmbeachdyno wouldn't you be better off getting a T56 vs a built TKO? Reference torque and and a better all around transmission. I was going to put a TKO in my 88 with a future 347 from Coast High Performance and a Kenne Bell but am leaning toward a T-56. I'm sure you'll still put out more HP with that 7.3 NA vs my boosted Fox. Educate me if I'm wrong or why you are choosing the TKO vs the T56. Love your videos by the way.

Awesome stuff . This will be a fun ride . Love the NA idea but would love to see what the LS vs GIDZILA motor would be. Turbo vs reliable hp vs max hp vs stock vs opened and ported heads vs cam swap ect . You get my piont . Obviously cost right now isn't going to compete but in about 3 to 5 years when the scrap yards are starting to fill up with these motors. The cost will drop . Alot . Like the coyote motor .

This 7.3 will smoke any Ls in durability. Look up Team Z Godzilla 7.3 mustang and they’ve got videos of tearing down the bottom end. This motor is going to hurt some Ls feelings. Don’t get me wrong, the Ls is a great engine.

It takes a standard modular bell housing. You could put a 4r100 behind it and use a bauman trans controller.

Pretty sure the trans will bolt up. It should fit width wise but it's a little longer than most Ford engines and may be a bit tall. We will know more as we put them in more vehicles

The 7.3 is an oversized LS engine....just look at it...with upgraded and overbuilt components. Wouldn't be surprised if it can hold over 2000hp ON THE STOCK BOTTOM END. Could you just imagine putting a couple of 76mm turbos on this thing, add alcohol and go low 7s or high 6s.

@@Ws6Ms Rumor has it that the GM LS was a Ford design anyway.....but this big girl will be a game changer. As long as it can fit, it will be cheaper in the long run than a Coyote or a big cube LS. It's got big everything and it's cheap ( I was quoted 6800.00 for the F250 replacement engine )

I haven't heard about the coyote thing... but gm and lotus did the 5.7 DOHC in the early 90s for the ZR1 so who knows... if it's an AMERICAN V8 I like it... @@mewrongway the 5.7 ZR1 engine was a collab between GM, Lotus and Mercury Marine ( I am old enough to remember that one ). The OEMs all share tech....the Gen 3 Hemis are pretty close in design with the LS.....and Godzilla is close to the LS

Coil wire to plug is failing..... not the coil it’s self. If the wire goes bad they are $25 a pop. Aftermarket needs to make one and they would sell like hot cakes. My super duty has 20k on it and has not had this issue yet.
