Ford 7.3L V8 Godzilla Motor Cold Start

Our 2023 Thor Quantum KW29 Class C motorhome is on a Ford E-450 chassis. It has the new monster V8, that has replaced the old V10 motor. It's a beast of a motor, with lots of low end torque, and has improved fuel economy over the old power plant. It is very noisy on start up. I didn't touch the throttle. It roars to life under acceleration, but then gets quiet once at a cruising speed.

My Fedex contractor has a few Budget moving vans with this engine and I love it. So peppy.

Great sound! This motor means business, although leaving the campground early in the morning will not make you too popular with other campers😃

It’s no worse than a diesel truck or diesel motorhome. It does get quiet once it warms up… unless I mash the skinny pedal too hard. 😎. It’s having no problem towing our Jeep Gladiator through the mountains in Georgia, while still managing over 7 MPG.
