Ford 8.8 Limited Slip Gear Inspection

The hole in the cover is most likely from a junk yard where they drill differentials to drain gear oil like where I'm from in Oakland California. The cover is previously used and reused by you again basicly.

Thank you for all the information I will be staying in contact I like watching your videos and the fox shop as well I have done just as much work to my truck as you guys with the radiator support the frame restoration and everything I have a very clean two wheel drive truck that I will be put in a Dana 44 straight axle and instead of the twin I-beam I will post pictures or send them to you

What truck did the limited slip come off from looking into going to local yard and getting one for my 95 flareside

I would like to use the same transfer case and transmission as you what year and makes do they come out of my truck does have OverDrive and I did not know what you meant in your video when you said torque converter lock out

You will need a transmission from an F150, either 1994 or 95, and the transfer case will come out of a F150, F250, or F350.

You took the axle completely off just to inspect the gears? Did you use brake clean on the clutch discs too???

I'm swapping out my standard open rear diff for a limited slip one.
