Here is a head scratcher. My battery on my Ford Focus was draining over a few days and the dealer couldn't find the problem. My car alarm started going off randomly as well. Eventually I saw the Hood Open message when the hood was closed. I replaced the hood latch and this Hood Open issue went away as well as the battery drain. All is good now. Weird.

Ford explorer 2014 PowerTrain Relay stays energized (coil powered) with key off, drains battery over night. After removing the relay and putting it back it did not energize ( click on and draw current) how ever after driving yesterday and parking last night, it is staying energized again draining the battery. What energizes that relay, the switch the PCM?

I have recently bought a 2009 ford fiesta and when I lock the car with fob or manually the interior light goes of and instalment cluster mileage goes off but after a few minutes all re aluminates and stays on and drains battery. It is driving me nuts. Please please help

The Safelite technician tried to power up my car after he replaced my windshield, but my 2016 Ford Cmax was completely dead. We changed out the good battery with a new battery. Safelite came out again to fix the noise caused by the windshield replacement two days after the new battery replacement. The windshield is fixed, but the car is dead again with the new battery!! What could be the issue? It's not the new battery for sure. What causes the car to drain after a windshield replacement? HELP!!

Don't all internal lights and cigarette ports power down after 20mins? Mine powers everything off after 20mins so even if the lights were on they would power down anyway

My cigarette ports stay on all the time. So if my phone is charging and I turn the car off, it will still charge the whole time. Of course I don't leave anything plugged into the cigarette port when I get to my destination. But mine stays active the whole time.

let me sum it up for you.... Check your middle console light to see if it stays on, and check your glove box light and switch. You may need to replace the switch, or just unplug the bulb. You can read this at your own pace and won't have to worry about any accents.
