Just purchased mine at the Overland Expo NW in Redmond Oregon. Shout out to Hesston on working with my wife and I on all the questions we had! Can't wait to get it installed once we get it.

When bolting down the front of the rack with the two mounting brackets on the mounting studs, I found it easier to remove the two outermost t-slot bolts and washers on each side of the wind deflector and then slide the wind deflector enough to expose the mounting bracket making it much easier to get a wrench in there to tighten the two nuts going on the mounting studs. Once you finish the first side, go to the opposite side and slide the wind deflector the opposite direction to expose the second mounting bracket. Once complete, align the wind deflector to reinstall the t-slot bolts and washers then realign the wind deflector to its final position even with each edge and tighten all bolts. Hope this helps!
@TheCoyoteWayOverland5 ай бұрын
I did the same but in my case I couldn't leave the logo backing plate on or it would hang up and not slide. It hung up on the logo plate bolts. Poor design of the deflector IMO.

Hello, what size are the hex nuts that are used to bolt the rack on to the roof in the accessory ready mount on top of the windshield? Are those 10mm?
@trailrax10 ай бұрын
The nuts that are used to bolt the rack to the accessory ready points on the bronco are factory spec 10mm metric nuts. The rest of the rack uses 1/4-20 imperial hardware.

Just installed mine. Y'all should probably update the video with a slide that points the viewer to the new part numbers. Other than that, it was easy in install and looks fantastic!

Thanks for your comment! Our team is aware of this hiccup, we are working on filming this and putting a video up that reflects the recent switch to part numbers instead of arrows which in turn has been easier for customers and that is most important to us.

Can other 40” light bars be mounted to the roof rack other than heretic?
@trailrax6 ай бұрын
Great question! There are plenty more out there. We currently have Baja Designs S8 which is most comparable to size in the Heretic. We will say the S8 pushes more light intensity as well, basically brighter. Baja S8s are in stock at our site.

Wait, when i put the foam on the bracket like you did, it kept sliding. Why dont you take the wax paper off so it can stick?
@trailrax9 ай бұрын
We did not apply the foam to the clamp for filming reasons. But you are supposed to remove the wax paper so that you as the end user can stick it to the clamp and install it for your Bronco.

NO DROP INS... And there are no accessories on your page for bolts/tiedowns for the rails... what do we use?
@trailrax4 ай бұрын
New orders from Early August forward get drop in cut outs on the crossmembers! It is a recent update, for past customers, there will be an upgrade program that is optional. We also have tie down point accessories, the Smiley. If not, you can use the side panels of the rack in the slots to tie down your gear! it is designed for it. Slots are also used as a mounting point for hardware should you need to use them. Then of course our crossmembers offer a great solution to mount even more hardware.

How are the Roam cargo boxes mounted on the rack? I have a Trailrax on my bronco and am looking to add some cargo boxes. I like the Roam but not sure how to mount it. Do you have any information on that? I don’t see any cargo boxes on the Trailrax accessory page
@TIMPORTER10011 ай бұрын
Found the Trailrax accessory page and looks like Roam + rugged mount is listed there so I assume the carriage bolts can slide into the cross bars.
@trailrax11 ай бұрын
@@TIMPORTER100 That is exactly right. The Rugged mounts or their new cheaper mounts will work on our rack with their carriage bolts provided. The provided carriage bolts should be 1/4-20 carriage bolts, if not, that is the spec of hardware needed to mount the rugged case mount to our TRMR Rack line up.

When installing the PackRax you say to put washers under it, why? I put mine on then noticed you said that. Do I need to take it back off?
@trailrax Жыл бұрын
You do not need to take it off and redo it. It mainly is there to help center the Pak Rax lower bracket better.

Someone want to explain what the random rubber stops are on the back side of their pack rax that didn't come with mine?
@trailrax Жыл бұрын
Thanks for the comment! This was a part of one of our prototype units and is not necessary. Do not worry, the rubber stops served no purpose during the use of that prototype so there is nothing to worry about. After installing the pacRax brackets do you put the rear hard top back on? I didn’t see when to do that? Thanks
@KenWatson-jq4wz2 жыл бұрын
I noticed that your cargo cases are positioned toward the rear of the rack. Is that because you are trying to reduce wind noise? I ordered the same rack and cases, but am waiting on delivery of the rack. Thanks! P.S. Great video! Looking forward to the light bar video too.
@trailrax2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the feedback! The customer wanted them positioned them like that. The best way to avoid wind noise is to get the boxes right up to the deflector so the wind is not hitting the wall of the box right above the driver's head.

These instructions leave a lot of detail out. Orientation of the bottom pakrax for example.. there also seems to be parts added in the assembly that do not come with the package. Major steps are just glossed over without detail. Super confused. Tried calling, and no one is answering. Super frustrating.
@trailrax Жыл бұрын
Thanks for your comment. Orientation can be explained on the parts themselves that show a "D" and a "P" this will let you know whether those parts are driver or passenger side. For detailed instructions, you can find our instructions print out and PDF available on our website! Our customer service phone line is available from 9am-5pm MST M-F.
