The Bronco seems very capable on 35's. Until they come out with a suspension kit like the RCLT from Marlin Crawler for the Bronco, they should just stop with the 37's and 40's. It's clearly way too much.

@@THEpicND Well the way I look at it is, that driver has a lots of money and wants the baddest bronco out there and as long as he is committed in strengthening the IFS platform I am happy to see the abuse he is putting on the vehicle. I wish one of the two could at least build a reliable product. Too much to ask these days I guess. I would buy either in a heartbeat if they had something decent for around $40k and they weren't built to break. F'ing libs blowing the world up over the weak flu screwed the worlds economies for decades. I hope it was worth it to get sleepy Joe in office, because people can't afford to freakin eat much less buy a $80k Jeep/Ford that breaks down at 36,001 miles.

.....exactly what most have been saying in the off-road communities. The Bronco is good but not a Jeep replacement as Ford has marketed it to supposedly be. It simply compares more to the Toyotas and other IFS 4x4's that it does the Jeep. It's like anything. Throw enough money and mods you can make almost anything literally do what others can do easier. That is what you have and it's great for the consumer. Jeep will find ways to improve their SFA's to do as good as they can for speed and handling. Just like Ford will continue to learn and make their IFS as good as they can for rock crawling. In the end I love it. Jeep has already come out with the Recon package, a V8 Wrangler and let's be honest because of Ford pushing back in this market with the Bronco. Who knows, if Ford is serious maybe we get a solid axle version and maybe Jeep eventually offers a IFS Wrangler option.....? Future is awesome and great video. PS: Kevin is an incredible driver, but Brittany is hands down an amazing spotter.

I don't rock crawl but I off-road at pretty high speeds and go mudding. So IFS feels MUCH better to me especially going over small whoops/rough trails at 50+mph. I had fun it jeeps, but they break a LOT, but a Bronco with the Sasquatch and the 7spd manual is my off-roader of choice. Obviously doing some power upgrades to the 4cyl but the ones I drove weren't slouches.

I have to say the Jeep looked more poised throughout right out of the box. I am not sold on the IFS on the rocks or even mud where you have to get high wheel spin. Looks fragile when there is a lot of load on it. I am sort of seeing what I expected so far as steering and CV failures. Not saying I won't get one some day like 5 years down the road and used.

Kevin is the reason there wasn't three broken broncos. He's definitely done a lot more of that driving and is impressive. The driver of the Jeep was good but not at Kevin's level. Kevin - I really like those IFS tie rod supports. Suppose they would fit on a WK?? And good advice - being out on trails for Winter Jamboree I ordered a full set of tie rods; they arrived today. Seems as if so many people are trying to force the Bronco into a Jeep mold. They appear to be nice vehicles, but they're built for a different purpose. As you guys mentioned, the bronco is a gofast dunes and bumps wagon. Hey, I like that - Bump Wagon :) Loving the comparison videos, and the Bronco looks like it's pretty good on the trails, but it's just not a rock crawler.

Minute 17:40 everybody!! . Come onnn!! Look at that Stock JEEP flex right there! OMG I love it!! The Bronco's back-right tire was like 2 feet in the air in that spot. Here on the JEEP we have only a couple of inches. Well, this is the comparison we were all waiting for! This is amazing! Even though the bronco did great, for this kind of stuff like slow offroad, rock Crawling, Flexing, etc...let's be honest...Bronco needs to just move aside and let the Jeep do its job :)) But i have to admit that the Bronco It is definitely better in other areas like high speed (Baja kinda like) offroad (with that IFS). Can't wait to see that - Baja like - Bronco transformation. #litebritesoldiersbaby

Cringe moments on almost every obstacle with the Broncos... then the Jeep comes in and it's like nothing. I'm ok with my choice (JLU). And I just can't agree with the Bronco's looks anyways, although of course it's very personal. For me it was never an option I guess. We should be happy to see some competition in the marketplace, that's about it for me.

As a Rubi driver for several years and now with a BadSquatch headed to Moab tomorrow… this was the perfect video. Seems pretty clear that the excellence of the Bronco IFS on the road is also its Achille’s Heel on the tough stuff. The Jeep (on 35s, as mine is) has still got the edge on more challenging offroad tracks, but a pretty good match. Excited for tomorrow! Now just gotta burn through these stock Goodyears and get some K03 37s on the BadSquatch 😊 And as always Brit and Kev bring the good stuff ❤

It's really not needed though. They are hanging out with the goof on 40s who keeps breaking his Bronco, and it's making the Lite crew nervous for no reason. The Bronco stock Sas isnt nearly as fragile as they are acting it is.

@LiteBrite 2 жыл бұрын
No one is nervous. 😊 Tie rods are the weak point on any IFS, it’s simply a fact of any IFS off road rig. And since we intend to (and are) challenging our rig more than others, it would be dumb to not take precautions if they are available. Unless someone else wants to buy us a spare set of tie rods (they’re expensive), we’d like to make these last a long as possible. 😊🤙

@@LiteBrite I get that, but you guys are hamming it up a bit. I think you'll grow to trust it more as you do a few more trails in it. It's not as robust as SFA, but you also don't have to baby it until you screw with the geometry a bit. I've led a few Bronco runs now here in AZ doing 7+ trails (Chivo/Chiva Falls being most recent) with everyone being Sasquatch and haven't seen any trail breakages yet. The gentlemen on 40s really jumped on the gun as there isn't enough aftermarket items out yet to pull that off. I'm far more worried about the 2.7 dropping a valve as ive only seen a few cases of steering failure but I think B6G is up to 30+ cases of blown engines.
@rickaccurso
@rickaccurso 2 жыл бұрын
So my question is will the aftermarket companies catch up or because of the way of the world and Ford had a issue getting the Bronco out will they write it off? Hope not, like I said I’ve learned to like the Bronco but I think like all new vehicles it takes time to work the bugs out. Maybe Ford would consider your videos for future testing. Can’t say you don’t put them through the limits.
@480bronco6
@480bronco6 2 жыл бұрын
@@rickaccurso The Bronco probably has a few more bugs than your typical new vehicle (I say that as an owner of a 4 Door Sas Badlands Lux w/2.7) and the build materials inside are terrible (the back cargo area may as well be made of cheese. Scratches SUPER easy), but its also revolutionary in a lot of ways. Its a weird hybrid between a Defender and a Rubicon IMO. So far the aftermarket is blowing up, but there is a LOT of room for improvement once you start messing with the geometry. I'm staying on 35s for a year or three until the market really catches up and matures.

As an Engineer I'll say that I'm shocked at the shortcomings of the Bronco with that front end. Ford should know that there are those who will take it to the next level, so at minimum they should have come up with a better overall "Front end" Your bronco guy is doing a great job at breaking, fixing, trying to make better, and so on. But it seems so elementary. Plus the aftermarket should already have something by now. On a related note, an ad came up on your channel for a Bronco give away that's on 37's, and lift but I can't imagine getting that or any Bronco until there's a really good solution to the front end period. I like the Bronco. I will have a Bronco (In addition to my JLUR and my YJ all built) one day, but I think I'll wait until a solution is out there so that I can simply wait for the "new every two" type people to buy a brand new Bronco, spend endless amounts of money to upgrade to what ever the new solution is, then sell it at 30 to 35 k miles, then I'll take advantage of the deal that I know I'll find because this cycle ALWAYS happens. But for now, it's good to see you guys do stuff and show it all. It's obvious solid axle is better, but definitely impressed that Bronco is doing great. Ford did an AWESOME job copying the basic design of the 4 door Wrangler. Lol.

The issue with the Bronco and all IFS trucks is cost as the the proper way of lifting it in the front is to put on portal axles. New front diff that goes backwards so one can use 2 gear portals, the portals itself and a new much stronger steering rack is going to be pretty expensive. But it's the only way of maintaining proper angles for suspension and axle shafts.
