I'm going to install my kit tomorrow. Thanks for the install video

Had anyone else had a problem with the battery test contacting the radiator hose and trans cooling line? I'm trying to determine if it's just me

Interesting kit. Probably doesn't matter, but as an FYI, that unused positive terminal your busbar connects to will actually already be in use on Everglades models and on Broncos with the Ford Performance/ Warn winch kit installed.

Thank you, I appreciate it! We added that little bus bar piece to make it easier to attach our wire, without having to cut a hole in the side of the red plastic cover.

Have you done any testing with the 12 Volt Lithium Batteries? Dakota makes a really nice battery plus optima is going to be out with their new automotive lithium battery in a couple months. The only reason I bring this up is the massive weight savings. Two Dakota batteries weigh less than one odyssey.
@GenesisOffroad9 ай бұрын
Yes. There are still several limitations with lithium batteries. First is that, to our knowledge, there are no lithium batteries made in the Group 25 size which fits into our tray. We don't have a single millimeter available to use a larger battery, and the next smaller size available is too small to be worth it. Plus, lithium still doesn't like very low or very high temps, and they also are not suitable for high amp draw applications such as for running a winch. So for those reasons, we're out of luck with running lithium in our dual battery trays. However, you could certainly add a dc-dc charger onto our dual battery system in order to charge a lithium battery located somewhere else, maybe in the rear storage area, for powering a fridge or other camping gear.

It seems a nice and practical setup! Very clever setup using 2 high quality TPPL AGM batteries that allows the auxiliary battery to be equal than the cracking battery. Please, let me a question, why is the original IBS sensor connected to the negative of the auxiliary battery instead of the cracking battery?
@GenesisOffroad9 ай бұрын
Good question. Couple reasons. First, the factory negative cable doesn't have any slack on it, so it won't reach all the way over to the negative on the new cranking battery (the one closest to the engine). Second, for sake of simplicity, we did not want to make the customer have to extend the IBS sensor wire by cutting/splicing extra wire onto it. Third, it's debatable whether there would be any benefit of doing that at all. The technical pros and cons of doing that is a longer conversation than we can discuss here, but in short, we don't feel there's enough of a benefit to make it worth the trouble. Hope this helps! -Shane

How do we reset the Ford bms on the Bronco?
@ShaneSmith-m5yАй бұрын
just unplug it and plug it back in. That will trigger a relearn process.

Does this work on a broncos sport if not I would definitely like to see one
@GenesisOffroad4 ай бұрын
We haven't had an opportunity to look at a Bronco Sport closely yet. I would guess your engine bay is probably tighter on space just because it's a smaller vehicle, but take a look at the video closely and see if it looks similar to your engine bay. If it looks similar and you'd like to try it out, go for it. If you run into any fitment issues, you can return the kit for a full refund.

Will this fit in the Bronco Raptor?

Yes we did get confirmation that it fits the Raptor with no modifications.

I was happy until end where i learned cabin hot 12v wont be advantaged from your product. I run a 12v portable cooler.

Our kit is intended to protect your cranking battery from being drained down by your aftermarket accessories, such as a fridge. We'd recommend installing a dedicated power outlet for your fridge, and connecting that to our bus bars. That way your fridge will run from the second battery and won't drain your cranking battery. We have several options for installing extra power outlets in your Bronco. Check out this page for more info - www.genesisoffroad.com/power-outlets

I ran a Genesis 12v plug to the driver side rear for my fridge. Very easy installation
@THE_CHOAS_ENGINE3 ай бұрын
@GenesisOffroad yeah I understand but my needs are modest and I was hoping the second battery would be parallel and thus extend the entire systems capacity. My needs involve internal 12v items like fridge and freezer not external mods so to solve my power issue I simply bought a portable lipo station that will power my internals throughout the night.

@@Crumb_Trails where'd you hide all the wires going from engine bay to rear... that would have been a bitch there's no carpet in the bronco right?

Can I use the factory battery and add additional small battery for the accessories?
@GenesisOffroad8 ай бұрын
Technically you could, but it will be tough to find a battery that will fit next to the factory battery in our tray that is big enough to be worth the effort.

Where does the Engine On sensor cable go in a bronco installation?
@kyleayers5848Ай бұрын
I second this question. There's no documentation for this wire. Obviously it plugs in under the cover to the green extra wire with the female wire connector, however, which fuse should this be installed to?
@kyleayers5848Ай бұрын
So I just found this on their site. "To use, lift bus bar cover and grab the small green wire, plug in sensor cable into the green bullet connector, route cable to the factory fuse box, find and remove any ignition-hot circuit fuse, insert factory fuse into fuse tap, insert fuse tap into factory fuse box." It sure would be nice for them to tell us which fuse to run it to rather than just guess and check, trial & error.
@msubulldogdotcomАй бұрын
@@kyleayers5848 I got the following answer via email from their support Answer: You'll want to confirm, but fuse 32 should work. Any circuit that is only powered when the ignition is in the "on" position will work.
