I love that you are testing the limits and figuring out how to make the new Broncos able to handle the off road roads. I am glad someone has the ability to do so. The solution for the Bronco is to keep you away from it!! Hehehe I'm sorry, I couldn't help my self on that comment. I like the engineering perspective that you're giving to this channel. However, I believe those parts are designed to be the weakest link on the entire system. Meaning that are designed to be broken to avoid further damaged to the steering rack under high stress. What's your thoughts about it?
@BroncBustertx2 жыл бұрын
Completely disagree and my testing proves it. The only thing it does is allows me to push it on harder trails that then brakes axle shafts.
@dirttales2 жыл бұрын
@@BroncBustertx yea but he is getting at is longevity... Your mod adds bigger parts, more weight, and harder impacts on the internal components of the steering rack. Nothing new for IFS and there have been "solutions" but most people end up with a SAS. You can beef up everything around it and still have a weak steering rack... I'd rather replace a tie rod than replace an entire rack.. It's like 100$ and 10-15min of trail work vs hundreds of dollars and having to be towed away..
@BroncBustertx2 жыл бұрын
@@dirttales well again this does nothing to the rack! #1 it’s $200 for a tie rod, #2 it’s 3-6 weeks back ordered, #3 realignment, so no it’s not as easy as $100 and 15 minutes on the trail. Besides Ford Performance is actually looking at carrying it as well. I will agree if you add this part you really want to add my steering bushing as well.

So when I get my Bronco next year. Pretty sure I am going with an Everglades. Would putting the various enhanced parts help with longevity? I am not going hard core but will be on mountainous terrain from time to time and from the looks of your parts they didn’t seem too beefy. Have you thought about offering a package of driver side passenger side parts and all the others you might recommend to keep the steering shaving free and long lasting on a Bronco with minimum Sasquatch package. I would personally be interested in seeing a list of parts I could put on. I may go first with some coil overs but by the look of it there are a lot of weak points. This is the first channel I have found that really covers possible breakdowns. Thanks!

Absolutely sir that is what we’ve done we offer it as a package or we offer each individual piece separately. And of course we are always out testing and looking for better ways to accomplish everything. With your Bronco Buster have at it. This way you show that your products are working with the rest of the Bronco parts and that it does not break down on the trail. My friends dad had a 79 that was built we used to go out in as kids we'd sit in the back with the top off and it was a blast. Anyways I'm curious if a straight axle swap is something new bronco owners are considering as a possibility to really beef things up and get more articulation or maybe something modern comparable to marlin crawlers ifs kit for the new Toyotas? I'm sure the aftermarket is gonna go nuts with parts for these. I think the body and design of the new bronco is really cool it looks freaking awesome I really like it. After seeing the new raptor bronco or whatever their calling it come out I still think the regular bronco might be a more capable rig when built because it's smaller. As a platform to build off of the only thing I see the raptor possibility having over the standard bronco is supposedly a stronger frame.

I really love watching these crawling videos but wish you would utilize better safety precautions when winching, IE putting a weighted (5 to 10 lbs.) item like a heavy coat or blanket or even a specially weighted device to deflect the cable in case of it breaking and then flying into a person and doing some very bad damage to a human. The weight will deflect the cable downward protecting any bystanders close enough to get hurt in the event of a cable failure. Also, keeping bystanders, cameramen and anyone at a safe enough distance for protection in case the cable breaks is a safety MUST DO. I have seen cables breaking rip through 4 inch thick, solid steel rack on oilfield trucks and kill people. even a small 3/8" cable can rip through a car engine and kill. Please keep SAFETY as your # 1 concern, then you'll enjoy your trip all the more knowing you did all the right things to keep EVERYONE safe and in one piece. Go forth, crawl and run those off road roads and have a blast. Keep making those videos safely for us all to enjoy with out us old coots getting overly anxious about your well being. HAVE A BLAST!!! One day maybe I can join you, hope so. I would love one last adventure. Wish I still had my ole' '79 Bronco.

Or donating broken/fell-off parts to assorted Jeep Shrines some trails have. Nor the big $$$$ to repair that damage and time lost sitting in the shop. So, will leave that that pointless nonsense to others... My vehicle is VERY off-road capable, and way more than I'll likely need (but I wanted that extra capability just in case, AND for use in inclement snow/ice weather) but I'll only be doing the easier trails, not ones rated difficult (trail damage likely) or extreme (trail damage guaranteed)! ;-) Sorry the Dummy damaged ("wrecked") your Bronco...what a stupid shame.
