Because the fine print on Mark's introduction did not go unnoticed, and for what it's worth coming from a person half-way across the planet, I just wanted to say you shouldn't pay any attention to pointless criticisms. For years, you have been working your ass off building this channel and doing so at a production level and consistency that's only come close to being matched by entire Teams of automotive journalists backed by major publications. You're a person who truly understands what cars are and how they can bring value to one's life. Paying MSRP is a normal practice in most of the world, and it's no fault of your own that the US dealership climate has become the poisonous cess-pit that it currently is. That Civic found the best home it could have and I hope it joins the S2000 and Lexus in becoming finely-aged classics in the, most likely, eerily silent and heartless electric future. Thank you once again for your titanic efforts, and to Jack as well, obviously, in bringing us the amazing content that perhaps some have made the mistake in taking for granted. I hope both yourselves and your families and friends stay healthy, stay safe on (and off, when the case calls for it) the road and that you'll have an amazing 2023.

Not even 500hp motor, and selling for over $100k? Not worth it at all, especially considering how bad the interior is (I’ve been inside several Bronco’s and they are horrifically cheap). People are only buying Bronco’s because of how they look. $100k+ is awfully expensive for “looks”. A RZR Pro R or Turbo R for 3/7 of the cost will eat this thing alive in any off-road condition.

GTI driver, I'm thinking about getting one of these or one of the new 4x4's coming out for the 2024 model year to complement my GTI. The Bronco definitely needs some competition to cut demand. There's going to be a new Xterra, 4runner, Ranger, Colorado, Tacoma, even a new Dakota. Its going to be a good time to be into 4x4's.

I was always into real "drivers" cars and enjoyed autocross and track. But last year I rented a Gladiator Rubicon and went off-roading for the first time. Althought different from a track day I can honestly say I found it just as fun. With it's extra power and capability the Bronco Raptor should be even more entertaining than the Jeep was.

@@memememine1 I did the same thing last year and found myself feeling like I wanted an F-150 raptor. Went to test drive one and ended up buying an ATS-V a couple weeks later. It just did not feel lively enough to me for the cost. It was probably the most comfortable thing I've ever driven in my life, but it was also isolating and felt too much like a truck for me to really love it. I feel like I'd really love a Bronco Raptor just because I think it'd be lighter and more playful with the shorter wheelbase, but it's going to be nigh on impossible to get your hands on one for a reasonable price for probably at least a few years.

I think Ford's decision to bring the Bronco Sport to market before the actual Bronco was really really dumb. And regardless of actual launch date, real Broncos weren't readily available until many months after the Sport was released. So immediately they had a branding issue because a lot of people thought the Bronco Sport was in fact the new Bronco. Ideally, you launch a high trim level Bronco first, and then after you get the name recognition and desirability, you launch the watered down cheaper Sport model for the middle-aged women.

I have a friend who may actually consider the Bronco, but saw the boxier Escape they call the Bronco Sport and immediately saw the new Bronco as another name killer like the Blazer. Who can blame him? It says "BRONCO" in big letters across the grille and hatch of the Bronco Sport, but only says "Sport" in small letters on the rear.

I went to the Ford website and built one of these online. $78 K and change (that's not adding everything under the sun for equipment). And I'll bet there will be a dealer markup that'll make you choke. That's too rich for my blood; I suspect the same for others. For what you get, $78K is a ton of money. Good for Ford to build a great vehicle, bad vibes for the cost. Super analysis of this vehicle by you guys. Best of the rest, as always.

What Ford need is to bring a descent PHEV version of both F150 and Bronco: driven exclusively by electric motors, leaving the ICE to only recharge the battery. This way they could slash the fuel consumption by several times, as the electric motors are way more efficient, 95% versus 25% of the combustion engine - also, vast amounts of instantaneous torque at low RPM. This also enables the ICE engine to be much smaller and operate at optimum rotation for efficiency and durability, with constant engine RPM. This PHEV implementation also enables to utilize a way smaller battery comparing to a BEV - a fraction of what the Lightning have, reducing both cost and weight.

As always, a great, deep dive review. This impresses me for its engineering, toughness and just Tonka truck silliness but honestly renting it for a fun weekend would completely sate my interest in it. I get that many guys like this for its potential but somehow I’ve enjoyed driving for over 45 years with never - save a few times in a buddy’s ‘60s bug in high school and summers on a family farm - going off road and I don’t foresee that ever changing. Great that car companies are stepping up for the demand for trucks like this though.

I followed one of the test mules down 94 one day and it was comical. The body looks tiny compared to the axles, flares, and how the tires compare to the body. That being said, because the tires sit so far out, it makes it a great offroader, and rock crawler. Oh, and I couldn't keep up with the vehicle because the thing has a good bit of power.

I have an F-150 Raptor because for my family a pickup is pretty useful, and lot more useful than the Bronco, but man, I want this. This seems to address what I don't like about the F-150, that being the paddles are slow as hell to respond, and until I got a tune, the transmission was frustrating.

I work a cdjr dealership, and we've had a couple 392 wranglers here. I really prefer the looks of the bronco raptor, over the 392, it's just so aggressive and outstanding. But it's hard to pick bc a 392 wrangler drags the bronco raptor like it's not even there, I'd be surprised if they don't switch up the performance on them, or make a R version with a tuned f-150 raptor motor. Also the 392 wrangler is significantly cheaper msrp wise, and isn't really getting bumped crazy over msrp like the raptor is.

They did say in the shoppe that the raptor has bigger brakes than it's plebian counterpart. Sometimes when you get these trucks with huge tires, the wheels and consequently brakes end up looking smaller than they are.

@Sam on the other hand, they're much smaller than they would be if this were more a la Lambo Urus. The wheels have to be smaller to allow for high sidewall, thus smaller brakes compared to things like the Urus. We need to bring back in board brakes!
