Got a Platinum with the turbo, loved it for two weeks before it rained and the cabin leaked on me lol. Sun roof drain tube wasn’t installed, so that’s getting fixed and then it’s a one way drive to Carmax.

Team SG, Without pushing too many buttons, I think that there is a lot of headspace around thematic “identity” in your work. And that does it for me. It is difficult to criticize what you do because the sourcing and wit make your channel. I legitimately appreciate who you are. I think you will have to vary what you do and who reviews. You can absolutely over-specialize and breed in niche. Keep in mind that there are only so many Lucid moments, and the content and circle gets smaller but stronger. There are plenty of Hornets out there which betray the personality of a brand’s traditional followers, and I find that interesting. The scape and scale of manufacturing continue to shift. We need that too. Last, pricing and inflation is screwing US. We only buy so many vehicles in our lives, so there is little room outside of vicarious fantasy, so joy, brother. Thanks for doing what you do.

Seems like you've lost interest in half of what you're doing. The "i can't be bothered" attitude about most of the cars you sit in is what has turned me away from the channel. Odd that you criticize others for having this attitude in this very video.

We’d love the “in the shoppe” segment to look into certain weak spots mechanically in the car like plastic cooling system parr’s etc that will affect reliability. Most car journalists don’t have the balls to do this except for our Aussie “redriven” channel.

Just got one of these on the 11th. I will say the lower trim is the better value. The console isnt all touch on the lower models, they have knobs for AC and volume, the physical shifter remains over the weird buttons. And you dont even need to use the console since everything can be done from the steering wheel. Love the SUV and its styling. Its unique to me. Now i am coming from a 15" Mitsubishi mirage so anythings an upgrade for me but im extremely happy with my purchase.

Do what you want, people don’t know what they want, they want what they are sold. The current format works by the way, even though times are changing quickly. The media… ummm… too often it seems the reviewer is working for the manufacturer.

It's actually pretty wild how much more luxurious that infotainment and climate control makes the Camry feel. I've been comparing it to my Avalon for a while now and it just makes my Avalon feel like a Corolla. I've loved my Avalon but I've recently started to feel like it's lost its touch. It just doesn't remind me that it was effectively a baby Lexus anymore. Toyota has absolutely knocked it out of the park with their recent design language. It honestly feels that the Camry is appealing enough to make it more valuable than the ES series. I might do something I never thought I would do and trade my Avalon in for a Camry.

I'm surprised your approach hasn't led to a falling out with manufacturers. In that mindset it makes me question whether you are being genuine, or if it's the best shill schtick out there. How can you dump on manufacturers and continue when every other creator is bending over in some obvious overly positive way. Regardless, as long as you are truly being genuine (Honda gets a lot of love), then continue with your path. I base my vehicle purchases mostly on your content, so it needs to be an honest opinion i can trust to my family. Savage is what makes you stand apart. I hope that doesn't change to facilitate access.

I want to see a return of Scott. And a build like your FRS/BRZ; it is still the best coverage of a build out there. Just keep doing your thing. Your reviews are the best, even if they are 2-3 years behind the cutting edge. Hopefully the manufacturers see that.

Always felt like Lexus concept car design and the racing development team got togethor and said no compromises and than just sent it without an after thought. its beautiful, it dosent fit in some competition bracket against other "like" cars. it is what it is. More of an ode to the sc400 design philopophy. they stayed true to the brand on this one. There was nothhing on the market like a sc400 at the time either and they didnt care than either how many they sold. It was a exercise in design and they put alot of pride into this LC500 design. You dont see this in major manufacturers anymore.

If the budget allows, I'd love to see reliability tests on cars putting them through what they're advertised to do, then on the flip side seeing how dailyable it is. USED CARS, older cars! Also silly competitions and roadtrips like what top gear did in the early jeremy clarkson era. Haven't seen anything like that in awhile and always enjoyed them. But of course, do what's natural to yall.

Please do more “these are the men/women that engineered this car and here was their thought process/focus areas”. There is enough ‘interesting characters’ to choose from at all levels to make that informative, different from your competitors, and interesting. C8 was your best example to date in my opinion.

I'm in the (small?]) camp of people who - while impressed with the build quality and capabilites of modern 911s - ultimately find the platform a compromise no matter the config. The bottom line: if you can afford one, you can probably just buy 2 dedicated used cars for similar money instead: one that is going to be a much better daily and one that will be a better driving and/or more special sports car. My hot take os that unless you specifically buy the 911 for its unique corner handling, you probably haven't really pushed a capable 718, Emira, Evora or an older mid-engine 2 seater (NSX, F360 etc). 991.2/992 are insanely fast and capable but the sad excuses that are the rear seats, really carry a high price. The size and inertia of the engine over the rear axle costs the car that visceral tossability and confidence inspiring, predictable scalpel like quality you can find elsewhere. If you could only have 1 car AND spend a lot of time on German Autobahns, it'd 100% be a great car but the moment the roads shrink and get windey, I would have a GT4 or another 2 seater mid engined car over over even a 991.x GT3. In fact, I'm not even sure I would pick a 911 over something like an M2.

The biggest problem with this vehicle is that Hyundai put a very low quality battery in it. If you turn the engine off and in accessory mode your battery will be dead in about 6 minutes with nothing plugged in. Hyundai refuses to fix the problem. I would not recommend this vehicle.. I bought it new and had to replace the battery immediately. The tires are also garbage and you will be replacing them at about 28000 miles. If you don't drive much that might be 2 years of driving but due to my business I have to drive alot and unfortunately will only be about a year for me. Expect lotS of problems.

7:03. You nailed it! This is exactly me, who you described. I loved old land cruisers but I can’t find them anywhere to be sold. I don’t like new cruisers the same way. I like 4Runners, but too expensive, smaller and not super nice from inside. I sold off my Sequoua last week but can’t afford to buy 2023 trim or up. Honda dont make large SUV. Then I landed on 2024 Armada SL. This truck is super nice and affordable. I love V8, its size and ruggedness. I drove Nissan patrol overseas (marketed as nisssn patrol in the rest of world) , and this thing was great! I hope it lasts at least 100K miles for me. I drive about 6k miles a year, so 16+ years for me. I love Japanese products, especially their vehicles. Great nation! Cars depreciate, and I have no interest in keep buying a new one, unless they die or become unreliable. Nice review!

Would love to hear more from the people that really make the decisions on what goes into a car. Ex: how thought it was a good idea to make controls go through a touch screen instead of physical buttons. Why did a gear lever change? (Push button, BMW, he'll even toyota with prius and crown models) like please find more Whys. Just why things HAVE to be changed when they have worked so well for so long.

If ever I could critique something, potentially a little more in-depth on the DRIVING segment, a little more real-world usage/testing vs. a couple laps around a few country roads. I know you need to be efficient with time and I also appreciate the 10-15 min. digestible videos I can watch on my lunch break (and the longer form deep dives I can watch on the weekends).
