Great video. I've seen needle valves stick open when an engine has sat too long. Hadn't heard of the "heat treatment" method of cleaning that fuel screen before. Take care of yourself, Jeff, we need you out here.

Great job buddy. I had trouble getting my mustang to not run hot for years. Saw a video from thunderhead 289 on fuel pressure and heat issues. Sure enough I was at almost 10 psi. Threw on a regulator and it fixed the problem. Psi is very important in lots of areas.

Thunderhead is a great resource for carburetor stuff!

Great video Jeff!! I hope you start feeling better soon. I hope Cam is doing OK too. Maybe he’s still trying to recover from Thanksgiving? By the way, thanks again for an invite for Thanksgiving! ✌🏻

You are welcome! Cam was fine. Just bored. We ended up with enough operators so he just soaked up the carpet and kept me honest on some of my wordy words.

On that particular carb/engine combo , according to Ford, the #47 mains are for up to 0-5000 ft altitude and 5K-10K ft used #45 jets. Over 10K feet they speced #43 jets. I have the '69 revision of the '60-'64 Ford parts catalog. It shows what booster is supposed to go to which carb but it doesn't have your particular code. It shows CA, CC and CE for '63. It doesn't show one for any carb/engine combo of any year with a W. The only B was a BA for a secondary booster for a 4bbl. It's possible an earlier version catalog might show more data.

I'd love to have the early 1960-65 and the 1966-73 Ford Master Parts Catalog.

@@AutoRestoMod They were available in digital format. I think I got mine from AutoKrafters. I haven't tried to find any of the original issues.

Jeff, where did you get the shoulder bolts and nuts? What size are the bolts and nuts?
@AutoRestoMod2 жыл бұрын
The bolts and nuts are hardware store items and get them at Lowe's, home depot, Pretty much anywhere hardware is sold. I recommend getting bolts that are right at the size of the holes in the carburetor base.

Idles good and revs good just when the truck rocks back and fourth

Could be a pickup tube issue. Maybe a hole or rusted.
