Probably one of the clearest instructional videos I've ever seen.

I swear, you’re the Mr Rodgers of transmission repair. Such a calm and clearly spoken voice, that completely conveys all the information we need to confidently delve neck deep into this unknown realm of black magic known only as automatic transmission repair.

Getting a 1993 econoline 150 was told new transmission and as long as you don’t go over 55mph if you do it will apparently shift into 2nd gear. This is all been told verbally I’ve yet to see the van in action but I’m guessing a 6spd vs 4spd install would cause such an issue. Thanks for such a detailed instructional video. Hoping I find out this mysterious shifting error because from the pics and video everything else is solid and garage kept.

What should I do if I accidental removed the 2 bolts that hold the two together and they came apart? I know I can just put it back together but I have none of the check balls that were there… what size are they and how many should I need for a 1993 e4od

If you follow the bolts in box system you will lose your ass. Put in baggies mark clearly. Place in box.

Sir, I have a problem with my 1993 f150 5.0 E4OD automatic transmission. It hesitates upon acceleration. I have no check engine light on but when I ran a code reader, it showed two codes. first code was 621 which shows to be "Solenoid/circuit failure - shift solenoid 1 - transmission". The second code is 629 which shows to be "Torque converter clutch circuit fault - transmission". The only thing I can think of doing is replacing the transmission solenoid pack while doing a fluid change in hopes that will clear the codes. If someone could help and give some advice on where I should start would be appreciated.

Where are you located?? I’d love to do any modifications necessary for my 94 e150 5.8 E4od to make it last such as drilling the holes larger you mentioned in the valve body. Anything that can be done without removing the tranny. This beautiful conversion van only has 30,000 miles on it. Found it a couple years ago at 18,800 miles. Love it.
