Really enjoyed watching the video although I am still not confident in my abilities to diagnose and or perform updates. I am taking it the dealership in the morning, the service adviser said it can take 2-4 hours to do a software update. I just ordered a PCU that is plug and play for a 1996 Nissan Quest. I gave them my only my VIN#. no PATS system. Do you think I’ll be able to just plug the new one in and drive away without problems?

I ordered 1 online before, claimed plug & play, pre-programmed. But pins were messed up and not pre-program at all. So hard to know about your case, let's just pray, lol

I have a 2022 Z4 M40i and BMW updated the Bosch protection on any ECU’s with a 06/2020 production date or later. If I were to get a pre 06/2020 production ECU and clone it, is it possible to have it match my vehicles VIN? I’m considering cloning so I can unlock the ECU and run a flash tune.

Computer resource can remanufacture a new Ford ECU with Keys based on your VIN. You would need to just have the Keys cut.

My wife had a front end impact a few years ago and ever since it has had weird issues like the interior lights not functioning/rear seat controls do not work to fold seats down/steering wheel buttons not working properly. Example of the steering wheel is that the volume down actually does volume up. Would this point to an ECU issue on her 2016 Ford Explorer perhaps, or would this be something entirely different? Exploring my options to try and help get it fixed without going to the dealership.
