These pcm repair videos are all so frustrating. HOW DO YOU OPEN THE PCM MODULE ONCE IT'S REMOVED? not a single video shows that. Four screws removed but this thing is like glued together.

I took one apart last night and I started by cutting the sealant around the seam where the aluminum pieces join and around the plastic part I added some heat with my mini torch to release it with no issues.

Don't stick anything in the crack cause you will scape off Resitors and board traces

and heat is your friend i just used a Heat gun and alot of patience

hi, how do you get a match for a replacement mosfet? do you cross reference the numbers with a chart?

It’s not Mosfet it’s a transistor number 8201NG, you can find the cross-reference on, datasheet.com

At 16:20 in the video I can swap that chip into another used ecu and would not have to program a key??

It could be the same parts number, or buy a used PCM from the salvage yard with the same part and do parameters reset and use your old keys, its fast and save time

Dude you are freaking awesome! I have a decent solder rig, would you be so kind to answer question of what kind of red Flux is that please sir? One more question if you will, what kind of cleaner did you mention in video I can't quiet hear the name clearly? Great content and much appreciation!

About the red flux paste you can use any brand for the cleaner during soldering I use alcohol from the dollar store and I use ( paint removal or gasoline) to remove the clear wax layer before I do any work. It should be an easy fix after you do it few times, let me know if you have any questions

Hello I have some questions about what my 06 ford fusion SEL when I put the key in it and try to turn it on it clicks one time and the cluster on the the mileage are just dashes and the car with a lock flashes. This is a replaced the pcm it’s less then a year old. I still have the old one.. I have determined that the pcm and the cluster aren’t community. Do I have to open the pcm in order to find out it if I have to repair it or is there another way..

Hello, I have a problem. I have a 16 Ford F150 3.5. I have the failure in cylinder 1 and 2. It does not register a pulse from the ECU in the coils. I have continuity in the cables. Change coils. I still have the problem.

@@scotthsmith8635 2010 escape 2.5 4cyl....po445 so replaced evep module on front on engine then code changed to po443 so messed with fuel door, cleaned, no change. Removed pcm cleaned contacts(not dirty) painted shell(some corrosion not real bad), cleaned 2 nearby grounds, disconnected battery held + - together. No change. Car runs perfect 28.4mpg cel po 433 keeps coming back. Do I need to only get it flashed...?? or..?

Yes, it's possible but you still can buy a used one and do parameters reset it shoud be a quick fix with replacement
