Ford Edge Air Intake Resonator Delete

I decided to go for a little WOW factor and make my Edge just a little bit louder under acceleration. It does seem to make a bit more noise. Normal driving does not seem to affect it so much. I do hear a little bit more of a growl, but nothing seriously disturbing. I like the extra sound. Very simple and inexpensive modification around 5 dollars and few minutes of time with just a screw driver.

Hardly noticed a difference with this on my 2013 Ford Edge. Maybe a tad louder at full tilt but not much. Sure looks better under the hood though.

Question, what the caps are going on, are they a re hard plastic, or a soft plastic/rubber? If its a softer material would not clamping with a hose clap with 2 soft materials simply squish both sides, not allowing for a really good fitment? Or is there very little pressure over all and wont have to worry about them popping off, or slipping off due to condensation or bumps while driving?

Just adds throttle noise. Makes it growl a bit louder when you punch it. Nothing else otherwise.

MACTFORDEDGE I know you said this is purely for sound... Are 100% sure that it won't cause any engine problems? Error codes, excessive engine wear? Sorry if I sound dumb, and thank you.

I did not have any issues with the rubber caps, but chose to upgrade to the hard plastic pvc caps. I have NEVER had an issue and have driven nearly 80K+ miles since the modification. Please watch the updated video to see how I changed the caps to the new one. I am currently at 200,000 miles on this Edge now.

I knew it was going to be louder. The only, Only reason I would do this would be for a MPG increase, but I have a feeling that it won't happen and even then I think I would get tired of the extra noise.

No MPG strictly for the noise factor nothing else. Great thing is it can be reinstalled very quickly. Cheap way to change things up without it being a permanent adjustment.
