I own a 2020 Escape hybrid. After 4 years, averaging 46.7 mpg and no problems. Very good vehicle. Hybrid offers the best value. Not a fan of smalll displacement turbos.

Owned a 2003 for 20 years and it was absolutely bulletproof,just sold it. Drove good and was still in great shape!. Just picked up a new 2023 escape ST line select fully loaded and we absolutely love it. Hopefully it’s as good as the old one was.

My daughter has a 2013 Escape Titanium with the 2.0L engine. Absolutely great car, no problems whatsoever to date. I worry about the very small motor in this vehicle for long term reliability. Actually predicted reliability is the main criteria I use for my purchase.

I see these around from time to time. It probably sells well and makes a lot of money for Ford so they should keep it, especially after they discontinued cars like the fusion, focus, c-max and ecosport. Just for me, there's probably at least 5 SUVs in the class I'd buy over this.
@LordWinter10 ай бұрын
right! I dont get why people would buy this when the CX5 does everything better and looks way more premium
@KNRS92710 ай бұрын
@@LordWinterCX5 any day. Escape has the cool tech, but that will run you into the low or mid 40s, and that’s knocking on the door of some nice luxury SUVs like a Lexus nx or Acura rdx or even ford's own lincoln corsair. I ain’t an escape fan but they sell 100k+ units and clearly there’s a market.
@LordWinter10 ай бұрын
@@KNRS927 Most of the people I've observed in these new Escapes are middle aged to older. I think most of American buyers don't cross shop or compare vehicles and the escape is just good enough that most customers will be sold after the test drive. My next door neighbor bought a Subaru Legacy which is fine but he could have gotten the much better Accord or Camry if he did his research.

@@KNRS927 also if you spent 40K on a Ford and it's not an F150 or an Explorer what are you even doing??? lol

I wish they would go back to the original "shape". A true mini-SUV and not a crossover like nearly everyone else is doing. With the popularity of the F-150, I would think others would like that truck like look.

Ford still offers the 8 inch screen with physical buttons if you don't opt for the tech package. And it still comes with sync 4.

I'll keep my Metallic Ruby Red 2017 Ford Escape Titanium 2.0 4WD 6-speed auto with manual shift paddles. I also have the full panoramic sunroof, as well. It has 245HP and 275ft-lbs torque. Plus, my interior is a lot nicer. Besides, I just turned 58K, so I have plenty of adventures ahead of me. I flippin' love my Ford Escape. My next Ford will be either a Ranger or Mustang; I haven't decided yet.

I owned a 2010 Mercury Mariner ( Fancy Escape) and I own a 2018 Escape SE w 1.5l AWD . Escapes are great cars! But the prices are getting insane! I bought a new car this year and I had a budget of $29k I desperately looked but couldn't find a Ford ( new ) in the price range, so I bought a 24 Chevy Trax, fully loaded for $28k $43k for that ST Line is a frigging crime!

We have one at work. It's awkward to drive, not comfortable at all. The screen in the dash looks like an add on and is occasionally glitchy. The arm rests are built for a 4'2 midget. It does get good mileage. Feels tinny, cheap and jerky while also making creaking noises at 1560 miles. Junk car.
