It would help greatly if you would show at least one perspective view as to where this part goes. I can't tell where the part is located on/in the engine. It seems you are working on passenger front side. Then I noticed the text on the part packaging is backwards so that may mean you are actually on the driver side. Can you clarify where this part is located exactly?

Part is located on the pasenger side.

Thank you for the video, I have one question though. Would you need to replace the hoes and the piece or just the piece to fix the issue?
@zionwallproductions92332 жыл бұрын
Just the piece, however they are sold together new as one piece

What symptom were you having? I'm getting a hiss after upshift. Sounds like some kind of vacuum leak. 1.5l Ecoboost Fusion.

I strongly suggest you take it to a dealer that could be the turbo, have checked out though. The issue being fixed in this video was overheating, through replacing the TC wastegate cilinoid

I have a 17 i want to do a aftermarket bov and waste gate to get the turbu stu stu stu and gain power but is it possible to do without voiding warrenty ex?

Only if it's done by the dealer. Anything outside of that will affect your warranty

No part 2? Got a 2014 Escape SE throwing the wastegate solenoid code. A $50. dollar part but Ford wanted $1000 for turbo and all. Not including labor. Which is unnecessary. I doubt a 1.6 generates enough turbo psi to even justify a wastegate valve. All they do is limit power anyway.

Check your actual waste gate. These turbos after around 120k miles will actually wear out. I'm on solenoid number 4 in 6 months and it's about to fail also, as for the turbo . . . they are designed to build pressure and you will notice when the gate is entirely open all the time for sure.

It's a bad design all together. At least on more conventional turbos, if the vacuum failed. The spring backup would keep it closed

Did this fix the issues you were having, if any?
@zionwallproductions92332 жыл бұрын
Yes most definately, that one Hose problem was responsable for about 4 other codes, fixing that will clear them all.

Did you get it changed out successfully?
@zionwallproductions92333 жыл бұрын
yes i did, the hardest part was just reaching the piece, you know how Ford does IT, unreasonably complicated。
@zionwallproductions92333 жыл бұрын
i sure did 👍
