That thing is a beast. Very nice. And it’s very capable despite is size.

You guys just barley got that beast through some of those spots. Thank you for the video. It’s odd for me to see ferns growing on the wild. Here in the Dallas Texas area we don’t see any of that.

Considering getting a 2001 Excursion 5.4L with 146k for $3,000. 1 owner. Bad parts are completely rusted rockers and underbody not great and the 4x4 isn't working; plus CEL is on for emissions. Drives great though. I'm so on the fence. The price is great but the rust and 4x4 not working scares me. Plus will need new tires soon.

Great vid. Shocked you’re running 3.73’s with 37’s. Put some 4.88’s down n it and it will pull like a tank
@codyparker6793 жыл бұрын
Running that with a 5.4 and it has no issues turning tires at all.

I bought my V10 with 37s on a 7 inch lift. It came with factory 4:30s. Just upgraded to 4:88s. You are telling the truth. It's a whole different vehicle with 4:88s on 37s. The tank moves right along with traffic comfortably all the way to 80 mph.

There are no lockers on the truck yet. Definitely something I'd like to change in the future :) Same with new gearing.

Loved this compilation, your Ex is inspiration for mine! I also have a black exterior with the V10. What wheel width and offset or backspacing are you running? I'm currently sitting on 33" A/T and am been looking into going 37" M/T tires
@brokenwrench4043 жыл бұрын
The most backspace you can run is 4.5”. Anything more and you’ll run the springs. I have 18x9 wheels with 4.5 bs and 37-12.50-18 wheels. The 13.50 wide tires will rub without 1/4” spacers

stock 373 gearing? im looking to do the same to my excursion
@DrivewithValerian3 жыл бұрын
Yes, it is still stock, but improved gearing would help this truck a lot. Lift kit and bigger tires made a noticeable difference.
@brokenwrench4043 жыл бұрын
Drive with Valerian a gear swap will help a lot. I have a ccsb v10 f250. I went from the stock 4.30’s to 4.88’s. I almost wish I had gone with 5.13’s for a little more bottom end grunt
@MrEliasdl4 ай бұрын
@@brokenwrench404I have 4:88s on 37s with my V10. My 2 cents if it's a tow pig and off-road only then definitely 5:13s. However, I'm very happy with 4:88s since I can do 75 mph at a comfortable 2450 RPMs and even 80 at under3k RPMs for long interstate trips. Fuel economy is improved over the over 4:30s on the 4:88 on 37 set up too.
