Enjoying your enthusiasm and content. I've owned my 2002 Sport Trac almost 20years. Still love it - looks and runs good. Kept it in dang near prime condition based on factory roll out, with normal maintenance replacing things that break. Finally getting around to tinkering minor upgrades to keep current. Not quite as mechanically inclined as you, but appreciate you showing me how to tackle things/ideas I likely wouldn't otherwise. I'd bought some bumper lights way prior to seeing your post, gives me good idea of just how complex it will be. Your Fog Light upgrade looks great. I have the factory fogs and they've always been great. But recently upgraded my headlights to HID's so might opt to do something similar too.

I saw that you back bumper is still that gray color. I spray painted mine 5 months ago with rustoleum trim and bumper spray paint. Still looks jet black , I think that be a cool video for you to do and made my sport trac look more appealing

You have to get a new radio faceplate so you can just put the regular fog light switch in ther. And rather than connecting directly to the battery, on the forward side of the under-hood fuse box there's a little cover door that opens up and has the main positive terminal for the fuse box. There are 2 13mm bolts right there that you can use for your positive connection rather then using the battery or terminal. You gotta hide your wiring and make it look factory or better I always say. I probably have miles of wire in my truck that I have run lol. But I'm definitely stealing your idea with the universal fog lights and bracketry and stuff. Thanks for that. 01 Boosted XPLR Sport 2dr. 4wd Thunderbird Eaton M90(home port 8-10psi) methanol inj, my own custom tune, dual alternator, dual optimas, custom Meyer homeplow hydraulic with my own custom controller and front mount hitch, custom A-pillar quad gauge pod. I have the most elaborate belt drive you'll ever see on a 4.0 sohc. I also do have front leather power heated seats out of an 08 Sport Trac. 2 pioneer 12' subs with custom OG Xbox one mounted to sub box and pioneer avic z3 with kicker speakers. I have a front end superlift kit I have yet to install right now along with a spring over axle kit that I put together for the rear. I'm currently working on replacing the rocker panels and doing a lot of painting n body work because our rocker panels all rot to sh!t because of the plastic side skirts holding dirt and sh!t in there however you can't find official rocker panel replacements for the 01 to 03 sports or 1st gen sport tracs either I think so I got Sport Trac slip-on rockers along with sheet metal and I've replaced the inner rocker panel with sheet metal and I cut out the outer rocker panel and replaced it with the slip-on rockers, now that is a very good piece of information because you'll never find good rocker panels in a junkyard or anything and you'll never find official rocker panel replacements. I'm very surprised you still have your running boards on there. I'm probably going to get some power foldout running boards after I get my lift kit installed. And after I get my lift kit installed I'm ditching those stupid front torsion bars for Fox emulsion coilovers in the front. I'm still undecided as to whether or not I'm going to do a 1' or 3' body lift. I also have a cad design for an intake manifold top plate to adapt an Eaton m112 from 03-04 cobras to my 4.0 sohc but I would prefer to have a built motor for that. I have an 01 cobra with an Eaton m112 making 505rwhp, so I have few Eaton m112s and m90s laying around. I'd really like to get DOHC cosworth BOA or BOB cylinder heads from the UK Ford Sierra Cologne 2.9 engine I think it is and adapt them to the block but coming by parts in the future would probably be pretty hard for that. As it is parts are cheap for these things which is also great. I'm at 350k miles on my 3rd motor, 2nd trans, 3rd rear axle which is now limited slip. I got the truck when I was 19, im 33 now, for like $2000 with 160k and supercharged the original motor at 225k and that lasted to 320k and would have lasted alot longer had I not been racing an svt 6.2 raptor.

The Factory fog light is measured from the outside of the cutout, not the inside. The size of the lens will be comparable, it's the multiple LEDs versus the single bulb. It's all about the Lumens.

Looks great. I actually just addded cobra fog lights to my 97 (has cobra bumper) and went with leds..but they aint nowhere near that bright..wow. I dont even have a sport trac..but im loving the content.

Ordered a set of these lights too for my 01 Sport Trac too! Thanks for the content. And if you like exahust the flowmaster original 40 series muffler on the sport trac with the 4.0 SOHC V6 engine sounds pretty good with no rasp as long as you leave all the cats and resonator on. And a K&N intake kit will give it a mean sound upon heavy acceleration. Some upgrades worth checking out too. And the muffler won't give you a lot of drone either which is always good for long drives too

Hey Munnday, in a previous video you posted the NERF Bar install. Did you pull those from salvage and repaint or buy new? If so, what source? Want to replace mine. They're functional but showing rust, even after having them painted previously. My mounts are a little bent, but not extremely noticeable. Between the bars and brackets I get a rattle/vibration noise at highway speed. Ford priced them @ $800 for the set - way too pricey in my opinion. Not excited about ANY of the aftermarket versions I've seen - even though pricing is better. Recommendations???
