What would make all of those go bad at the same time out of the blue?

Scotty, Have you ever cleaned one of the Ford canisters?

Personally I have never cleaned out a evap canister. I have seen a vapor canister fill up with fuel but I believe in that situation all we did was remove the canister drain the fuel out and allow the carbon to dry and reinstalled it. But that was many many moons ago so I'm not 100% sure if we even reinstalled it or just replaced it. Is yours full of fuel?

All the videos you are finding on the location are probably mine. LOL. Why would you be replacing your canister? They very rarely go bad. Can you see a crack in it?

@@ScottiesHobbies okay. after i actually did the job in my garage, ive confirmed that it was the canister vent solenoid, which sits on top of the black canister, under the bed of the pickup. That was my problem. once replaced, i reset the vehicles ecu, about 3 weeks have gone by, and the check engine light has not returned. My apologies for not using the right words to describe what I was talking about.
