Sam from V-BELT & SON did this same test with his RAM 3500 and wanted me to do the same with my 2017 550 so I finally had time so check it out to see the results.

Question on air bags. You say you put them on all your trucks so I figure you are the person to ask for real world experience and not a sales pitch. I have airbags on my F250 and have never found a leak in any of the fittings, bags, lines or manifold. Have you noticed your airbags bleeding off over a period of time and if so how much?

Rob Caudill yeah over time they can bleed a bit especially if you are in a climate where temperatures fluctuates. Most mornings I start my 250 the compressor kicks on for a split second.

@@workplaytv I have one like it, the Limited with rear auto air suspension. It is a true machine! I traded my 05 Dodge 3500 dually this past Spring. I towed a 4-horse living quarter horse trailer weighting around 14,200 (two horses), with the 2005 and it never squatted lower that level bed rail. Several times pulling into camp sites, guys swore I had bags on it because their 1 ton trucks were squatting more than mine all while they had smaller/lighter trailers.

Dan Kruger Yeah he has that thing geared up! Nah I don’t think the new Rams and Chevs will be that impressive to be honest. The Ram will have a nice interior and will add that 12 inch screen that’s in the 1500 but everything else will stay the same. Didn’t like the spy shot photos I have seen really. Dont even squat this trk more than half an inch but unfair test major difference in trks. Chevy 2500 had 2025 wore out springs f350 has brand new 4500 springs without factoring in overload springs. I was a die hard ford guy until I opened the hood of the new ones.. even a repair as simple as a water pump is turned into a major repair on the new 6.7. Not to mention the questionable cp4 pump. It hurts to say it but I now own a 6.7 dodge, it’s given me no major trouble aside from emissions related issues but that can be had on any newer diesel (now deleted) and I did the water pump in my driveway in an hour when it went; combined with the tried and true cp3 dodge got my money this time... man do I miss my 7.3!

extremerc76 Yaah man they aren’t meant to work on in your back yard anymore that is for sure!! How is the front end holding up on the Ram? I’m sure they have improved they just still scare me.
@extremerc765 жыл бұрын
workplaytv thing is I don’t have the money or down time to deal with a dealer for every little thing.. I have had no issues with the front end, a friend of mine had an 01 ram and was constantly tearing into the front end so I know what you mean. The new ram front ends are basically a copy of fords front end design (radius arm setup). I have 125k on it now towing and mild plowing. I’d opt for a heavier truck, 3500 and up stay away from the 2500 coil rear. Like I said I’m a ford guy but the new rams are not bad, ford still has a nicer interior IMO but until ford has a simpler motor under the hood I’ll be sticking with ram / cummins

Rich s Wow You sounds like a very happy man! Glad you are sharing your joy during this Christmas season!
