Great video! It is so cool that you guys are all prepared to go camping at the last minute. And it looks like your truck set-up will also help you get through emergency situations if needed. Thank you for the overview on your truck and how you have built it out for overlanding. Very impressive!

We like keeping some clothes in our ready to go camping set up. We use the clear zip bags from sheets and comforters for clothes so we can see exactly what’s in them.

@@caplesta Great tip! We agree- it’s so nice to just keep a few essential pieces of clothing in the rig, ready to go! Those clear zips are great and we also use mesh bags too. No hunting around to find things. 😀

Great setup! I'm looking forward to going full-size. What do you all think about a camper like go fast or Alucab Vs.RTT? Great vid!
@TaraAndJodyDoIt24 күн бұрын
@@maxdexpeditions Thank you! Glad you liked it! We like the Go Fast and Alucab if it is going to be a full time overland rig. We went with the roof top tent because we need to put plywood in and do other truck stuff. We also like that the tent opens up to a king size bed so we have more room in it. What trucks are you looking at?
@maxdexpeditions23 күн бұрын
@@TaraAndJodyDoIt yea that’s one disadvantage of having a camper, can’t use your truck for truck stuff. Looking at the F150, Ram and the Colorado. But that will be far down the road when our son is all grown up.

@@maxdexpeditionsWe understand! Whichever one you decide on, you know we’re going to say to make sure it has AC power on board. 😀

How is your wind noise with that setup?
@TaraAndJodyDoIt5 күн бұрын
@@coleworld18 Yeah, as soon as we put the roof rack on, we got wind noise driving over 45 mph. The tent and case didn’t add any extra noise though.

Wow that is an awesome rig that you guys have. most pepole just have a bugout bag, you guys have a bugout truck. Nice job you guys. What brand and model of new tires did you just put on? They look really cool on you truck.
@TaraAndJodyDoIt24 күн бұрын
@@markshane2686 You’re right, it’s a whole bugout truck! 😀 The tires are General Grabber 275/70/18 33” all-terrain. We got 50,000 miles on the original ones so decided to get them again. Thank you!
@markshane268624 күн бұрын
@TaraAndJodyDoIt That is pretty good mileage for an all terrain tire. Allso to how long will that refrigerator run for just off the Zackery before it needs to be charged ?
@TaraAndJodyDoIt23 күн бұрын
@@markshane2686 We usually get 2 days on the refrigerator, maybe even 3 depending on the temperature outside. It’s pretty good!
