Great video. Had the exact thing with 2014 F-350. Already use the Blue Driver OBD2 tool and love it. Cleared the code and it worked. Thank You!

check engine light on PO035 due to haveing work done on the front at a repair shop, code was not on berfore that... any way..... I had no idea that would affect the remote start, Thank you for the info... now just need to get the Turbo Charger bypass valve circuit investigated and why thats on......

Ive had the p0016 code (later had two of the cam phasers, timing chains, guides, and water pump replaced) and I was able to use remote start.🤷‍♂️. Ford's remote system actually just sucks and needs not to be so complicated with the key fob. Using Ford app to start vehicle is nice though. No issues there.

I don't know why they would disable the remote start. I like the app too, nice and basic.

So the cam shafts and the timing chain on eco boost is normal? I have that problem right now as we speak.

It's very common but not normal. System is very dependent on clean and proper oil. If I run into the problem, I always check oil level and milage since last service .

Mine stopped working since the throttle body was damaged, I already ordered the new throttle body I hope it works again

Hello, thank you for the video. I bought my car, a Ford S Max, and it only has one key. I wanted to add another key. I bought a second used key, but the same number. I took it to the key programmer, and after attempts and difficulty, he programmed the key for me, but it only works when you put it inside the key place, and it does not work remotely and does not shut down. The doors would not open. He told me that if I did as you did with the video, the key would work and be programmed. I tried several times, but the method did not work for me. Do you have any advice to offer me based on your great experience in this field? Thank you.

No Engine Light. Remote start still won't work. What I did notice is when I lock my truck it honks 2x indicating a door is open but all the doors are closed including the hood and no door ajar light is on...

@@RobertG-y7g I also had the same issue with my 2015 f150. It was the hood switch. It was intermittent to whether or not it would display it on the instrument cluster as being open or not, and I wouldn’t always get the two beeps when locking as indicating it either. Tried the bending the hood switch bracket up and it didn’t work either. Turns out the plunging mechanism itself was bent a little. Grabbed another one from the junkyard for a few bucks and threw it on - remote start works every time! Hope it works for you!

My F150 had a dead battery. I changed it out. hooked up the red and neutral and now remote start wont start. no check engine light. doors are shut... and hood sensor is making contact.

bought a 2013 Expedition..... remote start worked fine for a while then stopped.... the engine will fire up, and then stop.. took it to a local dealer then they started trying to milk me for as many hours as they could....... after 3 hours they said they still have no idea what was wrong BUT they could go deeper and get MyKey involved if i wanted for a few more hours, which they could not specify .... I told them NO and left, for all that money I could buy a different one installed..... Nobody can help me

I have a problem with remote on my Mustang. I do lock the car, everything is shut from hood to trunk. To try remote start I press the buttons on the remote, I see the remote flashing red light. But I can't see any response from the car no light or horn. I have changed the car battery as well as the remote battery and there is no check engine light I seek help!🥲 I dunno if it could the reason but I can't see the P of Parking in illuminated in red as the others if I shift to R,N,D,S. I can see them illuminated except the P.

I would definitely look into the no "P" The PCM might not be getting a park signal. There is a little micro switch in the shifter console that controls that. Hope this helps. Let me know what you find. Thanks for watching.
