did you do the exhaust delete ??? my 2018 F350 6.7 is only getting like 14.4 mpg... I heard the only way to get higher is to go SLOW and that only goes up to about 16 MPG but the exhaust delete will crank it up over 20 MPG...
@mikecagle9845 жыл бұрын
I still have not been told how you get that kind of mileage???
@billwaterhouse58945 жыл бұрын
Nice video sir. I can share I have never seen that kind of mileage in mine. I recently did a similar test, cruise set at 62mph (limit was 55). Distance traveled was 75 miles, 21.2mpg was the calculated average. 2017 6.7 F-250 crew, Lariat Ultimate, 3.55's. Slight elevation changes, mostly flat. I have an ARE cap (follows roof line), highway products bedslide, approx. 900 lb. total weight in bed area not counting myself. Now, I can promise you if the truck happened to go into regeneration during that trip...likely outcome would have been 16 mpg, maybe less. This is something no one talkes about when performing mpg tests. Consider maybe posting an mpg video...say right when the regen starts...go 50 miles, then calculate. My guess would be 11 or 12

Just read my own comment, geez I sound like Debbie downer...sorry, not my intention. Yes, they are amazing, I do love my truck, mpg was never a thought that crossed my mind when I bought it. It was about capability for sure. Have a great day sir

Is it mostly flat n downgrades?

im only at about 7k kms 4.something k miles and my mileage keeps getting better every time I tow the camper a couple hours or more. My trucks a gasser but 10mpg towing a 9k trailer is not bad at all. I like the fact that it keeps up with traffic no problem.

That has to be deleted to get that good. My 2019 says its getting around 15mpg. That isn't freeway, but its mostly doing around 50mph, a few stop signs, but not many. Let me just saying I really don't care, I didn't buy it for the MPG. As soon as my warranty is up im deleting it.
@camonly8493 жыл бұрын
Now you should delete it and see what the mpg is

Well lets see....a loaded 250 diesel costs $84,000 so that translates into $2,000 a month in payments, so who is going to give a crap about 23 mpg at 65 mph vs. 20 mpg at 80 mph? If anyone can afford an $80K truck, their time is more important than the cost of fuel which is why these type of videos are just silly.
@AdventuringToday5 жыл бұрын
I agree...based on your rationale which is completely valid that this is silly. At the same time, I have received dozens upon dozens of messages from people who are interested in MPG from DTE expectations to environments concerns, etc. While I completely agree with you there is at the same time there are other reasons for this. Check our my really ridiculous video where I only drive the truck 45 MPH on the same loop to see what max MPG could be.
@chadhaire17115 жыл бұрын
@@AdventuringToday The only reason to go 45 mph in a diesel is if you are pulling 20,0000 pounds! I tested ALL the Ford diesels and put about 800 miles in 48 hours in MY videos. Those were real figures. Chow...

It's not an accurate assessment. The one way trip you took was mostly downgrade with the exception of the small hill. For accuracy, you need to use reboot and check the mileage in the return trip. I estimate 14 mpg
