@BrianLampright9134 жыл бұрын
Bradford Ramm that’s pretty amazing, I’ve never gotten anywhere close to 25 with any diesel truck. But I also NEVER drive 55, usually 75. Big difference in wind resistance for sure. The 10 speed has a massive contribution because the triple or quadruple overdrive when it’s in 10th it’s got a higher overall drive meaning lower RPM on highway. You’re have to look at specs to figure out just how much different vs their 6 speed.
@BrianLampright9134 жыл бұрын
Bradford Ramm also comparing to an old gen diesel with zero emissions systems is a little unfair. Emissions systems have taken away many mpg from both gas and Diesel engines over the last 15-20 years, they burn way cleaner, but they are less efficient in return which really sucks... Btw my 6.0 Excursion which was modified and custom tunes the BEST mpg I ever got from it was 17mpg. Ford really screwed up after the 7.3. :-/

That is great MPG on a vehicle that big! I just want to ask if you can do another MPG run once you change out that lower valance? My 2020 with the Powerstoke gets 10-15% less miles per gallon than the trip computer says when you check Sm the distance against how much diesel goes in until full at the pump. It’s still wicked good mileage. Way better than my ‘15. But the trip computer can’t be trusted.

@gregparrott5 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the video. I look forward to the 'Fourscan' info. But, I'm confused about your mileage claims. Until you recalibrate for 37 inch tires, aren't your mileage and MPG numbers off a lot?? Also, what was your stock tire diameter? Note, my 2017 F350 4x4, Diesel, SRW, long bed, crew cab, 6 speed, 3.31 gears got 21.0 MPG at a sustained 60mph. But it drops down to under 15MPG at a sustained 80 MPH. (I should expect driving a giant brick at speed would have that effect) On another trip, I drove over 900 miles without refueling my (stock, giant) 48 gallon tank. The claimed 20.0 MPG was entirely consistent with the estimated mileage left over and the amount of fuel I added after the trip.
@workplaytv5 жыл бұрын
Gregory Parrott I did change the tire size as you can tell during the video as my speedometer is on mile for mile. My stock diameter was 34.1. I wasn’t really trusting the mpg reading the truck was giving me I was more so trusting the distance travelled and the distance to empty.
@Capt1njohnx4 жыл бұрын
I was thinking the same thing about the speedometer not being recalibrated with the 37's. If that was the case the mileage shown would have been worse than he was actually getting as the 37's would have been turning less revolutions to go 1 mile than the stock tires if the stock tires were smaller. Therefore giving him lower miles per gallon. So 18 mpg was probably closer to 20 mpg.
@gregparrott4 жыл бұрын
@@Capt1njohnx 'Workplaytv's' reply to me, plus the segment of his video shown between 4:27 and 4:36 shows that in fact, he MUST have successfully recalibrated for tire size. Otherwise he should have a disparity between his speedometer versus GPS equal to the ratio difference of the tires 37" vs. 34.1" = 8.5%

Hey Man, how hard is it to rip off that front licence plate holder? Also where’s the best place to get a smaller valence for the front, I have a 2019. Love the vids man keep em up.

Thought the same thing. Looked like he was driving through Oregon. I thought to myself I hope he's keeping an eye out for Smokey's. Then I noticed the MPH in the lower numbers. Also saw his odometer was in Km. LOL

Hi, since your Canadian can you please tell me how much money does it take to fill the truck and how many KMs can you get. I know this was a mpg video, but I've been wondering can you get 1000km from a full tank and does it cost $200.00 to fill.
@workplaytv4 жыл бұрын
Gazooo29 right now fuel is cheap and it cost like $120 to fill. If you were driving all highway and you had stock tires on you would get 1000kms
@Gazooo294 жыл бұрын
workplaytv Thank you for the quick reply😀 I just don’t know what engine to pick 7.3 or 6.7, as you know it’s a $10k option for the 6.7 here but then the truck is close to $85k and how much more can you get off from the ford employee event going on right now. I’ve always wanted a diesel but I know they have that limp mode issue and regen problem leaving you stranded. With Resale value will people want my 7.3l gas truck? Or only the 6.7
@workplaytv4 жыл бұрын
Gazooo29 don’t see much issues with emissions anymore. But if your not hauling heavy weights on a consistent basis you mid as well go for the 7.3
@Gazooo294 жыл бұрын
@@workplaytv I'm trying to make a deal this week with a dealer in Ontario, It's just the engine that has me lost, I will be keeping the truck for maybe 5 years I don't tow much right now but would have better options if I owned the 6.7. I'm been doing my pros and cons, the 7.3 is brand new, zero diff fluid needed,cheaper price. I just don't know if i could get 1000km a tank like your getting in your 6.7. thank you for being quick to reply:)

@@pondfilth5387 all stock besides 305 55 20 bfg ats. And I’m not sure on the diff ratio I’d have to look it up.

Ya you have to check it at the pump. The truck always is wrong. Some how it always is less then what it’s getting. I mean fuck gmc should have that figured out by now. Normal rich kids with no experience and no business building trucks but yet they get away with it. I mean what am I going to do build my own truck, ya lol along with my full time job. O wait why don’t they have me run the build on there trucks.
