Ford F350 6 0L Alternator or Belt Replacement

Easy way to replace an alternator or belt on a 6.0L Power Stroke without having to wrestle with the belt tensioner. This tip will work on any ford belt tensioner that has the same type of retention clip so be sure to check for it before struggling!

Dude!! What a sweet shortcut on the tensioner! Dang I love Fords. 15 minute changeout on the alternator. My neighbor was in to day three for the same job on his Honda Pilot.

This really doesn't have anything to do with replacing the belt other than locking the tensioner, that's the easy part. The difficult parts getting it out and replacing it. Honestly you should retitle your video.

Locking the tensioner is easy, once you know about it. That makes fishing the belt out and lining it back up much easier. Unfortunately, there is not enough room to get a good video of replacing the actual belt.

it's the worst design by Ford engineering, Ask them to fix it. 1001 of them say they cant\'t do it
