I had a brand new aqua colored festiva..best car I ever had..had pink stripes and punk rock decals all over it ...hit a deer at 60 mph,the deer got up and farted on me and walked away laughing.. 3000 dollars damage to the car tho... Loved that car

I had an '89. Great car! BTW, you still tend to see them fairly often in the Appalachian mountain areas for some reason.

This was a Mazda 121/Kia Pride, but it was a great car. It's sad that Ford abandoned this market for so long, for there's folks that want an inexpensive car, and this filled that void. NOT EVERYONE WANTS A TRUCK OR SUV; this car was reliable, not to mention it had great fuel economy. Try to find a Ford Festiva these days; good luck.

The Festiva and Aspire might have been slow and not handled very well but they were both excellent on gas and VERY reliable, hell if it came down to it Id rather drive a Festiva than an Aveo which I read was a mechanics dream since its always at the shop

@masterwolf1212 In a sense, the Festiva/Pride is more extreme example of the Chevy Aveo, which was a Daewoo Lanos (less extreme because Korean cars were at least much more reliable later). Maybe you don't remember how a Festiva drives like. Take a Auto Aveo, make the steering even harder, and cut the power to 1/2. And yes, I drove and almost bought the damn Aveo for being so cheap.

@masterwolf1212 "You like cars that look all curvy and smooth" lol...I own a cube. I got nothing against inefficient cars that are extremely practical (again, cube). Its just...its not a Ford. Its a Kia from the 1980's when Kia was legit crap. I drove one of those clunkers. It barely reaches 60 without hiccuping, and has the most vague-less steering in the world. From looking at crash videos, its as useful as a tin foil in an accident. You want a car to hold stuff? Get a van...or a cube.

@masterwolf1212 *sigh*....yes I know its not a square. My point was they aren't factors whether a car is good or not. You liked the car. Fine. The car was great to you. You got lucky. Most people (including my dad) thought the damn thing was piece of cheap junk. His died within 5 months...got another one that lasted a few weeks (the dealership gave him a Taurus after 2 bad ones) It had horrible reliability ratings at the time. Awful safety ratings. Magazines gave it awful ratings. 88 Kia = POS

@masterwolf1212 Dude...I own a cube. Maybe you don't know what a cube is. A cube as a 3d square. Its the funny car every goes "WTF IS THIS SH!$". To put into even simplier terms: It is the most un-aerodynamic shape known in the world. It ain't fast. Its noisy with wind due to being not aerodynamic. Yet, its the most practical and cool car I've ever owned. Like a moving sofa. I say its crap because its a Kia from a time when all Korean cars were worse than Chinese cars today.

I use to be Coyote with to this car. Until I was caught and they took the car away from me. Regrets no memories yes a ton Good and Bad. This car took me places for super cheap and reliable.💪
