@The Wanderer Yh, but the fiestas have gotten heavier over the years. So the earlier fiestas are actually faster. Mk4 was only like 950 kg

No the engine in the Mk6 1.25 is a Yamaha engine called the ford sigma engine ,while the newer ones are ford made, it's why the Mk6s last longer and have better engine quality.

I've had a lot of bigger fast cars over the years but I'm getting a Mk6 fiesta for next car. Just always liked the look of them since my teens. I'm gonna opt for the 1.25 because money is tight. What are people's experiences with them?

I recommend it, I have it for 3 years and nothing has broken. I only did the usual operational matters in it, such as: oils, filters, bushings

Love mine but rust is starting and at 162000 miles I need to know i will get to work as a nurse. 7 years and only changed clutch and shock mount.

Wouldn't drive too hard I pulled the diff out of mine in 3 months bar that they just have a coolant issue with the flange under alternator usually

Mine is fantastic. The engine is sporty sounding enough to never get too old. The handling is gorgeous with the weight distribution that comes with a small engine like the 1.25. If you're looking for fuel economy they're not top tier. If you drive it normally you'll average 35mpg but if you economile it you can average 45. The acceleration is fast enough to make joining the motorway no hassle at all. Boot space is good at least on my 3 door. I find that the springs are a little soft and the body roll can be quite comedic if you're driving spiritedly. I'm trying to get some Zetec S springs for mine which should sort that out. I've only glowing things to say about mine, look after it and itll look after you

Brilliant cars i've got the 1.25 mk6 zetec and it's so nice for my first car. exhaust sounds pretty good at stock too, it crackles and pops when i rev up to 2000-2500 revs then let go.

I cannot answer this xD I have a BMW 330i...you cant compare these two! I only use the Ford for short distances

@@mikesully110 My 1.25 zetec mk6 sounds similar to this and even pops and crackles yet it is fully stock, I've noticed the same with my friends 1.25 too.

I got sold a 1.4 with a blown gasket and the engine was rough and was lazy to respond when I put my foot down in it

Veet11 I would check for other signs which are mayonnaise in the oil cap and on mine after a weeks running there was mayonnaise on the cap and the spark plugs even tho the cap had no mayonnaise when I got it seller must have cleaned it to fool the buyer which was me. And also if the water level goes down gradually and there’s no visible leak

@@abina5900 Did you fix it? mine's lazy too, been that way for a year now maybe 2 years. No mayo on cap but mine did have a gradual water leak as well as a code for low coolant temp, but I bodged that with radweld (still lazy though). leaky gasket?

I have a 2008 mk6 1.25 75 hp, I have to check my throttle body and spark plugs, I get very poor idle and torque, not even close to this.

@@brooklynsparks1016 new spark plugs, new spark plug wires 3 months ago, also found a hole on engine fume pipe, replaced it as well (dont know how to dedescribe it in english), goes way better now. Still have torque and idle problem on LPG and I dont use it at all for that reason. Ill check whats wrong on next service.

Meiner mit 1.3 60 PS zieht auch erst bei höherer Drehzahl, aber nur der 2 und dritte Gang xD etwas mehr PS wäre für das Auto besser gewesen aber najuut 😂😂🤣🤣

Das ist Normal fahre einen 1,3l mit 69PS da ist der 2e und 3e Gang gerne mal der Race Mode xD macht aber bock gerade weil meiner übel den Sound hat mit nem Serienschalldämpfer manchmal macht der auch gluck gluck haha :D
