is it true that a recirc/blow off/ dump valve will damage your turbo? or is that a myth?

Yep that’s a myth😂 most DV’s help the turbo, recircs give the turbo that flutter sound which is the charged air getting chopped.

​@@Marzaezone oh right. Id heard that the stock pipes and turbo on the ST were too small or something and gases are pushed back into the turbo, but if its a myht i might just buy one!

@@Justinsr3 would recommend the turbo smart BOV just got mine fitted its a night and day difference

@@Justinsr3 It's not that atmospheric blow off valves damage the turbo; it's that they don't let some of the boost pressure back into the intake, so the MAF can throw a EML, you get a bit of turbo lag (not much on an ST unless you upgrade the turbo) and/or the car can smoke or stall, as it's still adding fuel thinking more air is moving than really is. This is why a lot of peeps go for the dual port BOV, so you get some recirc and some atmospheric. It's when you have too small of a recirc/diverter, you'll hear the flutter, which isn't good for most (weaker) stock turbos.

Hiya mate is this with or without the upgraded spring? Just wondering as I’m ordering one and I just want to install it straight on without changing the springs after I put it on the car

It came with a normal spring and a upgraded spring. I just used the Normal one🤝
