Both these cars are the newest entrants into the crowded entry sedan segment. Ford has ventured in late in this segment however the product packaging has been done smartly. Exteriors are designed modishly, the front profile is particularly impressive and dimensions are pompous which does not make the sedan appear under sized. The Ameo looks pretty decent but quite similar to other Volkswagen cars, though the sides are rather plain. The rear end of the car lacks some curves that would have given the car a better look.
While VW has given the Ameo key features like cruise control, the Aspire gets six airbags as an option. Both come with 1.2- litre petrol engines, but which one is better value and which one should you buy? Ashish Masih plays judge.

VW Ameo has 2 airbags 15 inch tire across all models. It has also rear AC vents, back end camera, back sensors cruise control and A Class music system in top end model which is conspicuously absent in any of the Aspire models or for that matter any other models be it hyundai Xcent, Honda Amaze, or Maruti Dzire. Price wise also it is the cheapest (Petrol) even Maruti Dzire . Of course it is smaller in space than its competitors. Aspire has a bigger boot and more water bottle holder, which was highlighted by this gentleman, as if it is only advantage the American car has.

In addition you have segment lowest service and maintainence costs. You can always mount good quality camera and sensors on or off the showroom. And trust me, aspire's ac is so powerful, you will never miss the rear vents. This ommission allows them to incorporate more practical spaces and despite the 14 inchers, you will never complain about stability though upsizing them will give you unprecedented grip and steering feel.

talking about practicality and 9 bottles... then again 20 liters 2 cans for boot testing. talking about the steering feedback Ameo give more justice. he didn't spoke about the wheels what aspire is having and what Ameo got. Even I felt the rear leg room is more because there is an extra scooped out front seat than Ameo one and head room for rear remains the same. for Nick and nacks Ameo have more space in the centre. and what the rear ac vent which aspire is completely missing. I don't know but have gut feeling that reviews are completely biased.

Rear AC is helpful and ppl sitting in rear dont have to duck out there faces in front to get the direct air in the beginning, when you coming out from direct sun. What 4 inch you are talking about. Grip comes from tires and suspension not from seats

dude I own this car and let me tell you on highway its shows 24kmpl that too only on the display which calculates on the basis of your engine running time and fuel consumed and if I calculate realtime may be its giving more than that. And so many people like me cannot compromise on ride quality, built quality and premium feel which no other car in this segment can deliver. If I was so concern about the average i would of bought some maruti car and keep on boasting about its average.

Cyril Matthew yes the rear seat leg room is on par to polo only. They have added a boot. Power delivery of ameo diesel is on par to polo tdi ..So we could call it a polo tdi with the boot. But I prefer the looks of aspire than ameo and polo than Figo..Both the cars re good, it depends on personal preference.
