Car buyers these days have plenty of choices. More so, in the competitive hatchback segment. However, this segment can be further divided between cars that offer sheer value and cars that offer pure driving thrills. The comparison here is between two cars that offer the latter.The outgoing Figo was always a great car for drivers however, it was let down by an anaemic engine both in diesel as well as petrol guise. The new car clearly aims at sorting this old issue. The petrol automatic tested here makes 110bhp, but more on that later. The Polo is clearly aimed at the driver. Which one is better? LOL Polo GT with all its brain washing mambos and jambos is actually slower than Figo. Good interior though but spend 40k after market & figo will have a lot better interior than POLO he he. Wanna waste some money go for POLO, need a fun yet practical family hatch lock on Figo.

I dont know what was going through FORD's mind when they were designing this car, they have put a gem of an engine and compromised equally on built of the car. So stability, driving pleasure, cornering etc. have evaporated from this car.

the best drivers car is not one than cushions ur ASS but one that handles well at high speed and corners.moreover the figo has lot more power that you have mentioned but fail to account in the final analysis, do you see any point in giving a DSG for a puny motor it not going to make it 200bhp car! if you understand anything about car then the polo should me making at least 120bhp. now a days any tom dick and harry are making car reviews. ford has been making drivers car for so long one should be aware of ford history and DNA.
