Very nice car, mine is not an RS though, bought it in 2000 and still gives me a beauty driving till now. Always serviced regularly and take care of it. Great car with a robust engine not like the engines of nowadays.

Glad to hear you are still running your 2000 Ford Focus - if you haven't already, then please check out our video on the Ford Focus Mk1 Ghia that we posted a couple of months ago. Great video..not enough on the mk1 around on KZbin. Keep the update vids coming. I see you sourced one of the rarest items...the front grille!! At least door cards are fairly easy to come by.

Be careful putting back to stock (exhaust / tune etc) as it’s been modified. Don’t want you running higher boost without the necessary fueling or something by accident. I still dream of owning a MK1 RS but they were never in the Canadian market. (I’m a Brit abroad). I have to settle for my Mk3.5 ST

Thanks for the comment. My intention is to take the car back to looking stock (with the exception of the exhaust). I've managed to source OEM headlights, indicators and side repeaters, plus I'll have the wheels painted in the new year. Interior is also pretty much sorted. Look out for a video on this around May 2022. I'm going to leave the mechanicals as they are, mainly because detuning it back to standard will probably result in me being disappointed with performance - I love the way the car currently drives. Thanks for watching!

Oh yes...the ultimate Mk1 Focus! What a beast of a car! Too bad they're so hard to find and prices...🙄 So what's left for me would be to build a tribute...but I like to imagine an RS version (even as a tribute) sporting the 5-door hatchback, the wagon and the sedan bodies, heheh. Thanks for the epic video!

Thanks for the comment. Really enjoy our RS and this year we will be doing a fair bit of work as we return the car back to a more standard look. Glad you enjoyed the video - it was our first ever attempt at a KZbin video, so will probably remake it one day! Thanks for continued support.

I am part way through returning my RS to a more OEM look and will feature it in a video soon, so do please stay tuned. Also, planning to attend RS Owners Club National Day with the car, so you'll see it there. Thanks for watching.

Great video, If you're after oem parts to return it back to standard i can recommend imperial rs owners, Ford focus rs mk1 club and Focus rs mk1 cars & parts for sale. A chap called Sam Breeze is a mk1 focus rs breaker and a friend of mine look out for him as he has a whole host of standard parts which as you'll know are becoming very hard to source these days.

Thank you so much for the comment Iain, really appreciated. I am a member of Imperial Blue and Focus MK1 RSOC... and funny enough it was Sam who supplied the new grab handle (found him on Imperial Blue). I am keen to source all of the bits to get is as close to standard (in appearance) as possible. Please do keep watching the channel as we get better at making the videos - we're lucky enough to have a few other modern classic Fords to come and will be featuring the RS development as it progresses.

@@cornishcarcollectors my plan is before I drop it off masking tape around badge and mark the measurements from the boot handle and surrounding areas on it and then take picture hopefully I can it correct-ish, and if you plan on returning it stock power wise or want it health checked the guys at sabre tuning are the best in the business for these mk1s 👍
