Ford Focus RS MK2 De Res Exhaust Sound

In this video I talk about the exhaust system on my MK2 Focus RS and show you some clips of the exhaust sound.
The car is a 2010 Ford Focus RS Mountune MP350 running a de-res / resonator delete standard cat back, plus the down pipe that came with the MP350 kit.

After 6 years of owning green rs i can confirm having deep pockets helps. There isn't much under 500 pounds when you start spending you might get a service. But would i change it not a chance. 👌

Like it, how easy was it to do?Plus has anyone done the MK3 air box lid mod?Not expecting much from it except more induction noise and possibly more turbo “chirp”noises, just installed mine yesterday but not driven the car yet.

I didn't install it but a custom exhaust place did it for me in an hour ish so pretty easy! Let me know how you get on with the air box lid 👍

@@CarswithJamesMosley I think it sounds way better now, really hear the car sucking in air, she also seems to pop a bit more (only previously did this when initially cold), I also think you can here the turbo chirp but its subtle/slight noise increase - so well pleased in a nut shell :-)

Out of interest. What MPG do you get ? I get around 200 miles out a tank

As I only drive evenings and weekends I get around 27-28mpg which I think is pretty good for what it is. Avoiding rush hour definitely helps haha!

Sounds good does it drone on free way ?

It drones a tiny bit more than standard but it's still quite quiet on the motorway compared to many aftermarket systems, especially as I'm still running the original cat.

I done the same wasn’t overly impressed.sounded hollow I though. Definitely not as good as the st sound from the same mod. Got the miltek ultimate in the end. Yours does sound good in the video though

@@CarswithJamesMosley yeah love it mate I did go the resonated centre section and a 200 cell cat it’s a perfect sound for me as it doesn’t piss the neighbours off but has a awesome sound when on it

Nope, still has the standard cat. Just removed the standard resonator.

Honestly sounds good enough, why waste 800 on a slightly louder one, maybe just put nicer tips on.
