Ive had my ST diesel for 3 year now not a minutes bother . 57k on clock now and i was wondering best way to get to vaporiser . You can get it from underneath but may try this way like you. Heard people taking wheel arch liners out and getting a long bar on em but. Nice fix though!

My wife had a 16 plate one of these from new. Twice the vaporizer failed with the same code and was replaced under warranty. Ended up selling it after 2 years with less than 10k on the clock. Strangely though, my 15 plate Mondeo had exactly the same engine without a single dpf issue in 117k miles.

I'm not surprised if it only had 10,000 miles on it after 2 years, That's nowhere near enough for a diesel 10,000 a year is minimum what you want to keep them running good. Not saying a bad design didn't have a part to play but low mileage definitely doesn't help .

I've got a 2016 2.0 tdci mondeo with the same 2.0 180bhp diesel, 160k and no issues with vaporizer. It will probably only clog up if its not used....the more miles a diesel does the better they get.

They build them so they can't be maintained of fixed. I own a AA Ford truck it never let's me down I've been maintaining it for fourty years, my father did the same for fourty years. He got the truck from grand dad. DPF no, computer no, problems no. What bits l can't buy l make, But have acquired tons of spares over the years. Grandad was the local ice man and used the truck to deliver ice. Dad took over from him until the ice business was taken over by electric fridges. I use the truck in a lawn maintenance business. My son learnt to drive in this truck as l did and my dad did. The son takes the truck to car and truck shows. It's the longest continuous working truck in the world. Stick ya modern vehicles, they'll bleed ya dry.

What about the oil deteriorated code i have e Mondeo with that code which 10:17 will not clear 2017 1.5 diesel. No other faults . Dpf cleaned with launch fluid. Car driving perfect.. any idea

I have this engine on normal focus 2015 dw10f 150 HP. It regens every 50 miles and fills up quickly no matter how i drive. No errors. What could be The culprit?

On these particular cars. The exhaust note gets noticeably louder. Also stop start won't work and you can feel the heat from exhaust especially near tail pipe!

Can you tell me why the car decided to do a regen after you cleaned the dpf, reset the dpf values and the pressure differential was low?

Lots of these fords do that after reset. Regen only lasts about seconds usually then drops back down

I think it’s the ECU proving to itself that the new DPF you have just told it you fitted is working correctly and not blocked.
