@@ChrisKHa715 I cringed when he was just allowed to replace one glow plug. From personal experience, it's preferable to replace all them even before they fail. Saving you future headaches if they break while removing them.

@@ChrisKHa715 my xf engine was destroyed by tip coming off glowplug
@RogerM88Ай бұрын
@@androiduser4162 I had two breaking the tip, that got stuck in the head. Was advised to hammer them in, and then try to fish them out through the injector's holes. But was able to remove them threading in a long screw rod, and then hammering it up. Now to replace a glow plug, I suggest doing it with the engine warm, spray WD-40, going slow screwing and unscrewing. And avoid too many years between replacing them.
@sliderdriver1Ай бұрын
Most owners, especially from new owners rarely keep them long enough to need new glow plugs. Unfortunately it's the unwise second owners who get the headache but an overnight soak with plus gas and a warm up should help get the plugs out. I agree that all 4 should be changed and insisted on really because it's your name on the job. The excuse of saving money doesn't wash, buy a picanto if you can't afford the dic* extension lol

Excellent work 👏 Your videos helped me fix my Om651 e class 115000 miles. My local garage couldn't even look at my car for 4 weeks! So I decided to buy a "I car soft obd" Issue was "dpf sensor open circuit," fitted a new one. Reset the code, fixed the problem. Car is now out of limp mode and drives fine 🙂

This is why I do my own maintenance as I know it’ll be done right. Too many dealerships mechanics just don’t give a toss and do shoddy work. Seriously, why didn’t the muppet make sure he replaced the sealing ring properly?

Thank you so much for your videos. I fixed my Peugeot Boxer engine light/ emissions warning thanks to your video on external temperature sensor. An absolute life saver. The £70 I spent buying the new part from Peugeot and fitting it myself was the best purchase I could have made. My trusted local garage had already had £500 off me for replacing a sensor that was not the problem. I could not have afforded to waste more money on changing the wrong parts.

I got rid of my E pace a money pit on emissions. BTW they are not Jaguars anymore they are cars with a Jag badge on. I had Jags for over twenty years. They changed after 2016-17.

In my mind they stopped being 'real' jags back when the xj shape finished(pre xf etc". Xf's were a bonny looking motor but they didn't exude "the jaguar" image in my book.

Great to see you working on the engenium 2l diesel engine. I have one of these myself, so far no majour problems, oil pressure solenoid valve and leaking injector seal. Both appear to be common issues with this engine.

I’ve always queried this finger test. Every diesel car I’ve owned, regardless of euro spec, has soot on the exhaust. Even my old 330d which I had from new, after 2k miles had soot on the exhaust 🤷♂️
@hughmarcus1Ай бұрын
Euro6 shouldn’t
@andrewlawАй бұрын
"Old 330d" is the giveaway. That's a Euro 4 which will have soot in the exhaust. The whole reason for Euro 6 is it doesn't emit soot into the atmosphere.
@BH-tp3pmАй бұрын
@@andrewlaw what about a euro 5, 3ltr diesel v6?
@ORileysAutosАй бұрын
Euro 5 should not have soot, but they can operate without showing a fault as long as the pressure is still within normal ranges.

Service managers rely on the new vehicle purchases who opt into the service plan. They don't allow the technicians time to repair or diagnose other customers. The system is flawed.
