Good video . I would like to add few things from my personal experience with Ford service. As u said in the end part of video , one should not go with the advice of the service advisor. They have target to complete and they will try to scare u , saying that this n that part needs to be changed. I use to own Ford Figo . And I hv paid 10 thousand rupees every year for servicing because I didn't not know their tricks. They make lot of money by cheating us. Their favourite parts are break disks, break pads, clutch pads, gear mounts, battery, ball joints, tyre rods so on and so forth. I found easy solution to this , I use to pay 200 rs to local mechanic to check before I use to go Ford for servicing. N then only my servicing cost was below 6 k. Final words are never ever trust Ford service advisor they are there to make money and complete their target. I hope this will help someone.

I went to prayagraj from kolkata by Ford freestyle. In overall 1700-1800 km journey I got around 16 kmpl mileage. For around 300 km I faced heavy traffic and bad road conditions. One thing that I can say " This car is a beast". 12 hr continue drive with 5 passengers but decent milege and no overheating issue at all.

Helpful Video. Hyundai also offers 3M Teflon Coating for 3500 (including tax) which comes with 3 service coupons to be used for 3 coatings to be applied upto three 6 months intervals. As far as i know these Coatings are just Wax polish for a shine, which may last upto 2-3 months though service folks say upto 6 months. and also the coatings done in 3M only last upto 6 months it costs 4500 for i20 active in bangalore. 3M does not offer any free service coupons for further coats. None of the Teflon Coating comes with 5 year gurrantee or warranty. Its only the underbody coating with comes with 5 year warranty with 10 service coupons (coating will be done based on inspection) on every service or if requested during running repair. To get a similar shine, Its in fact better to buy Formula 1 Carnauba Wax Paste or 3M liquid Wax polish on Amazon and personally apply it once every 2 months using sponge and dry it using 3M microfibre cloth. It saves a lot money with 1 hour effort.

You have done a great video but one point bothers me a lot oiling the doors and charge 400 for it. Thats way too much . Do it your self it hardly needs 3 or 4 drops of oil per hinges on every door and save your money . Next change all your filters at every oil change that's oil filter,fuel filter,air filter if you want your car to last a long long time and it's cheaper to change filters than to open up things apart and have a huge bill to pay. Prevention is cure just an advice. I do the same with my cars because I use every car for more than 10 years and not a single problem till date with any car. Enjoy your ride. And do change your cabin air filter too if you want good fresh air to breath without dust particals and it would also prevent your air blower from chocking up.

Sony P traction control will not affect mileage, I also have same doubts so I had driven first 7000 km with tcs off n now I never off tcs n milage is still same. To reset mileage keep right toggle pressed for few second, same way we reset distance

Sethu Visvanathan sir expect good safety if someone hits from behind its c pillars are quite wide and rigid and metal is also strong. I met with an small accident don’t believe car was looking like nothing happen and other guy was on my car top (bike hit at a speed of 80-90 kmph) it was bike rider mistake. Anyway don’t expect VW polo safety from ford freestyle, polo safety is top class better than ford, but Ford is also very close to polo it’s not bad.

Sorry for late reply, was out of country, Sir wheel balancing and alignment should be done very 6 months if not 6 months then every year it’s a must because if you don’t do it then your tyres will eroded from one side and tyres will wear out more sooner than their original life. Car guru might have said that as he is expert but as a common driver I don’t feel cabin noise is a problem. Cabin noise is negligible under 100kmph

Tuhin Shuvra Mridha there should be no vibration at all. Ford MID shows wrong milage you need to rest it regularly like after heavy traffic it will keep you showing poor milage so tank to tank method is accurate and reliable. However in long run it will show average milage which is close to real-time milage like on highway trips. Milage will increase as it run don’t expect good milage before 3000 km

I have also new aspire petrol and I have noticed vibration during cold start. But, after engine warms up the vibration goes away. Some engine noise can be heard when windows are down. But, when windows are up no engine noise even road noise can be heard.

Hi Amit, i bought freestyle titanium petrol 4 months back. Here are the issues i am facing with my freestyle: 1. Mileage is very low. I am getting just 11km/l in city and till 1.5k kms i was getting just 10k/l. My total kms in 4 months is 2500 kms. The service guy told me that mileage will improve after 10k kms or second service. 2. Handsfree talking is a pain. The person on call is not able to hear my voice for the first 30 secs, only after 30 secs proper connection is established. The service guy told me that it is like that only and he can't fix it. 3. Suspensions are not good as i feel shocks in cabin for every small potholes. 4. This car has thin metal sheet compared to other ford cars. 5. The body colored orvm and rear seat headrests are missing although they are providing it in new cars now. What i liked about this car is that it is very easy to handle and city drivability is just fabulous. But for me mileage is very important and i am not getting good mileage. Also, AC is too good. And according to me this car is best in its segment and at this price. And to be honest i found TATA Nexon to be better than Freestyle. In Pune, Freestyle Titanium is at 7.4lacs on road and Nexon XM is 8.05lacs. Just button start and Infotainment screen is missing in Nexon XM. Please let me know your views.

Rahul Sharma Rahul Sharma sir, as per my understanding mileage should be 12-15 kmpl after 1000km as I got. Kindly try driving gently with light foot on accelerator and avoid hard acceleration or braking. Never allow your rpm meter to go beyond 2500 rpm and keep constant speed of 60-80 kmph on open road in city just take care if not accelerating or braking suddenly. This will get u good mileage. Also reset your mileage meter because if u don’t reset it it keeps u showing past mileage on an average. And also measure mileage on tank to tank method as I did in other video. I am pretty sure u will get great mileage if u follow these steps. Don’t rely on mid milage calculate it by tank to tank method.

Rahul Sharma handfree talking over phone is very good for me as it never bother me anytime voice goes very clearly and also audible clearly it seems your mic has any problem go to service centre and ask them to fix it and show them live demo of this problem they will have to fix it. If they don’t take care of it then complaint online to ford and they will get back to you. Service guys is making excuses directly go to service Manager and explain the problem they will have to solve it.

Rahul Sharma potholes can be felt as suspension is on stiffer side to avoid body roll so same with me. Body sheet seems ok to me as I didn’t compared it with other ford but it’s pretty better than Maruti I would say better than Hyundai as well. Black orvm looks good as per my thinking than body coloured orvm, it’s just personal choice.

If any rat enters inside your cabin it is mostly through the AC pipe. First option to solve this is to cover the bottom of the chasis with a sheet metal like volkswagen polo cars. This avoids the rats to enter into the hood. Second option is to use godrej air freshener which is clipped to the AC vent. I tried it in my RITZ and after that the rats will not enter because of the strong scent. Third is to use tobacco and tie it inside the hood area. This avoids rats entering inside the hood. But it gives a strong smell and needs to be changed frequently. I did not have problem with the rats for the first 2 years even though I parked the car in the same location. I once bought my shaldan air freshener orange flavour. Because of the orange smell the rats were attracted.

Binod Kumar sir, pick up is good, so far freestyle has not disappointed me in any terrain in extreme hills back my home in Himachal also in interior roads. Don’t worry about pick up, Baleno seems to have better pick up than freestyle because of its lighter weight. I have no regrets on my decision to buy freestyle in terms of milage, safety and features.

shivam aima sir, I went myself there for both service and both service took nearly 3 hours. You can go inside workshop to see whats being done on your car but cannot stay there for all time. I didn’t choose pick n drop as I don’t want to handover car to somebody else.

shivam aima just drive it gently like do not accelerate or brake suddenly. Pick it up smoothly take your time to pick up and try to judge while stopping so you will need not to brake suddenly. Just keep a check of RPM meter in any condition RPM meter should not cross 2500 RPM if you want good milage.

shivam aima sir HLA work when u drove uphill n u r on slope then press brake pedal and release it n car will hold for 3 seconds and will not roll back. For HLA I have to press brake pedal once after that it work as it sense car is on uphill and apply brake for 3 seconds automatically, also brakes removed automatically as you touch accelerator but if u don’t hit accelerator within 3 seconds then car will starts rolling back.

HARBHAJAN SINGH Bhullar ford Diesel engine are best among all Diesel engine, check prices whichever cost less go for that whether freestyle or figo. Freestyle titanium will get some additional safety feature like TCS, HLA, ESP etc and figo will not have it.

pranjal tripathi sir resale value of Ford is poor in India and if you are comparing with Maruti then it’s even worse. You can only get a good deal if you replace this vehicle with new one. But trust me Ford quality is much better than Baleno I have driven Baleno. Biggest drawback of Maruti is it’s built quality don’t drive rash with Maruti if accident is smaller your car will suffer badly and god know what happen if accident is sever. Anyway service cost of Ford is lower than Maruti trust me. But again accidental repair must be costly so drive carefully it’s all good with Ford. Sir don’t buy ford for resale. You can buy it if you compare service cost. Milage of Ford will also be less than Baleno milage expect milage of 12 in server traffic, 15 in city in normal traffic, and highway milage 18-24 kmpl depends upon speed 70-90 kmph. Beyond 90 kmph you will get 15 kmpl milage.

Yash Khandelwal drive with light foot ( never allow your rpm to cross 3k and ideally mainatain it around 2K) and avoid sudden harsh braking. In worst bumper to bumper traffic also you would be able to manage an milage of more than 12 kmpl. Last and most important thing is that reset your milage meter and always trust milage from tank to tank method. I am sure you will get decent milage. Good luck!

Supriyo Baisya 96 Bhp power means it’s top speed would be more than other car whoes engine are less than 96 bhp. So top speed is related to bhp however its ac is also most powerful in 1200 cc petrol engine segment. Torque is related to instant pickup power when you start morning from 0.

Hi Amit, thank you for the videos. Honest reviews so far that really helped me. I am contemplating between buying freestyle trend, i20 magna plus or swift vxi . This will be my first car so I wanna make sure I make the right choice. I would use it for occasional city ride to office and some trips with family n friends. Although swift will have better mileage and i20 more space in the rear, I am inclined towards buying a freestyle because of its build, SUV-ish looks and being most vfm. I want to know if 3 regular people can sit for occasional rides in the back? and if sitting position is similar to a hatch or has SUV feel to it? Please share your thoughts as per convenience and suggest any other car if you think would fit my bill.

Himanshu Mishra bro though 3 adults can not sit comfortably on a long ride of more than 350 km but 2 full size adult n 1 kid can. Seating in rear seat of freestyle would give them a feel of seating in hatch but driver can feel driving a suv if he raise his seat to full height so you can actually see bonus clearly. I think u should go for freestyle but if your office travel timing will have very bad bumper to bumper traffic then freestyle will offer poor mileage of about 11-13 kmpl. I20 magna have only advantage of rear seat space n better interior although it has poor mileage than freestyle so I would not vote to go for i20. Swift have poor build quality which is already been exposed in global ncap so only consider swift if u will drive in city and u are very patient driver. Freestyle would offer everything better in respect to the swift n i20 as a whole package.

Your milage should be 12kmpl in city bad traffic 15 kmpl in normal traffic in city Highway milage depend upon speed you maintain: 70 kmpl- 24 kmpl 80 - 20 90 - 18 More than 90 - 15 kmpl Most important thing is don’t forget to reset your milage trip meter every time you start counting milage. Don’t judge milage without resetting milage meter

Anuj Kumar yes sir u r right, u cannot find ford parts in local market only ford supplies that to its dealer n parts like sensor or technical parts there is no chance u can get in local market. Last thing is if u drive carefully n does not meet with any accident then ford maintenance is cheaper than Maruti and Hyundai but accidental repair are costly.

navajyoti martha freestyle engine is BS4 , however this petrol engine is both BS4 n BS6 compliant as Ford already made this petrol engine in accordance with BS6 norms so freestyle is good with BS6 not sure about diesel .
