jayaprakash bilekall sir I think all other hatchback present in market are inferior As compared to freestyle titanium either in terms of safety or value for money so Freestyle is the best option. Biggest cons are led drl and low milage as compared to Maruti and Tata. But Maruti and Tata cars have their own issue either of inferior built quality and compromised in safety and NVH levels and overall features.

2700 Km till now on Trend Petrol . Mileage is 11.64 latest as of today in City with AC on minimum level 1 which i feel is very low. Measurement process was same as shown here, tank full , drove 228.3 km and then to refill again it required 19.60 ltrs. Also pickup is not good in my trend petrol which doesn't have traction control option at all. it only picks up in 2nd and 3rd gear which i must say happens very quickly.

Machismopw sir milage increase hogi as you approach 5k km and pick up m mujhe to koi issue ni lga however don’t pay attention to rpm while revving and need pick up .

Same here ... Regarding tyre noise it happened only on yamuna expressway, i drived approx 800 km and while returning back i had taken yamuna expressway and only within this route i found this sound not on other highways...

I feel traction control do not involve brakes. Its the power transfer through gearing and electronics (computer). Brake life is not dependent on traction control

THE STONE yes sir you are right but traction control also control spinning of wheels in order to maintain same rotation of every wheel so it applies very minimum brakes to maintain same rotation of all wheel.

Yes Gaur city 2 Greater Noida. Aspire dynamics are smarter than freestyle so it will give you good milage more than 15 in city n above 20 on highway for petrol.

Hi! I have ambiente petrol model and maximum milage that i had got on highway is 16. I have not counted it like you did but I am relying on information displayed on the gauge cluster. Abhishek Soni sir you are right mid shows wrong mileage. I got 19.97 kmpl yesterday but my mid was showing 13.7 kmpl so difference was 6 kmpl. I have noticed so far mid shows inaccurate milage. Gauge it on bar to bar method or full tank method. That will show actual milage .

However I have been stuck in bumper to bumper traffic in noida on weekends on peak hours and could possibly get poor milage at that time. I need to check. Will get opted to usual shift and check if got a chance.

Hi Amit & others who own the same car, I also bought Ford freestyle petrol titanium 15 days ago. I have few points to discuss or get a confirmation on since you drove the same model enough to share your experience. 1. As per owner manual, there is a break-in period of 1500 KM for this car and a car should not be accelerated hard or be driven on high speed during that period however, a dealer or salesman have no idea about it and people also suggest not to follow it since with latest technology, a break-in period does not make any difference. What do you think or did you follow that? 2. I have been driving my car with maximum speed of 70 KM/H (following break-in period) and have completed 900 KM till now, as per MID screen, have been getting a mileage of 13.9 KM/L, not sure if we can relay on that? your update on these points would really be helpful. I would vote for follow brake in period and no matter what people say as a engineer I know when you make a machine it need some time so that’s it’s parts sets in synch with each other while in motion. I followed brake in period as per manual so didn’t exceed 70 for initial 1500 km ans then not 80 kmph for upto 2500 km. So I would say follow brake in period as per manual. Mid will not show correct milage because it’s average milage so if you have driven rough initially or in traffic your milage drops and then you start driving carefully then even milage shows very poor so it better to reset milage meter and also rely completely on tank to tank method for actual or real world milage. You would get good milage if driven carefully like accelerating slowly and avoid sudden braking etc. However in traffic milage will drop considerably. I am getting 15kmpl milage in city which I think is very good for ford car since my daily run avoid peak hour traffic in noida.

Hi Amit, I tested the mileage of my Ford freestyle petrol today where I drove the car around 366 km with tank full and got it filled up from same petrol pump again. It took 21.24 litre petrol for the tank full. When I calculated the mileage, it came around 17km/l. Now m sure this should be the correct mileage as u suggested too. MID is still showing 14.5 though. What do u say?

Learn & Spread yes mid shows average milage even when you refill tank then also if you don’t reset milage it will combine your previous milage with current milage so mid get us a approximately idea when it us reset with every refill however accurate milage will be calculated as you did. I am sure you will be able to get more milage and reach upto 20 kmpl in your future exciting trips.

Kg Nagaraj thank you sir, I have driven 16000 km so far and I am getting 14.8 kmpl currently in summers with AC, in winters without AC I was getting 16 kmpl. I use to calculate milage everytime I fill up my car tank and set trip meter. I m not joking, many people think and comment it’s not possible but I have shown proofs in video about highway milage and now I will a video of city milage. The helping factor with me are my office timings are not traffic friendly so in morning I leave at 6:30 am so no traffic at all in evening I come at 4 Pm so moderate traffic at red light etc. plus I drive on light foot. If your city got too much traffic like delhi ncr has and your timings falls in peak hour then expect milage is 12-13 kmpl in city. Now decide yourself Diesel Freestyle is better than petrol however in all manners except its increased cost and less life.

Hi Michael, if you drive with light foot and keep your RPM below 2500 then you can get 12-16 kmpl in city with AC. 12 of traffic is very heavy and 16 with very less trafic. I am getting same in city around 15 with AC with moderate traffic in noida

Nexon is a bit jerky in city drive as it does not giv a smooth transition of power in turbocharged engine, while its bettr on highways. FS gives a linear power punch at all times nd a bettr driver experience. Both r good cars though Nexon comes close to SUVish feel nd FS is a proper upgrade over crossover vt many SUVish safety features

Dilip Barad as per my experience mid shows inaccurate milage. If you count milage in bad to bar or tank to tank methods then it will differ from mid. Milage can accurately be measured form tank to tank method even bar to bar will also given you near about close .

Hi Amit, Nice knowledgeable video. Btw, may I know how the key works in Titanium or plus variant? My concern is if someone breaks the glass they can easily start the car without key and leave. I enquired the same with executive he said It wont start without key inside the car. So I asked him to take the key outside and stand 5 meters away. But, it started that time too. Then he said another story that even if someone breaks window enters car still car will run for 6 kms and then stop. I dont believe this car has such security issue. What's your take on this. This is bcoz car is parked outside at nights

Guru Ragavendran sir no peoblem with security actually sales guys don’t know much about the car they are selling because most of it comes from experience. Freestyle can be started even if key fob is within 10 meter range from car. You can start and start driving it will just show no keyfob but continue running without keyfob till you run out of fuel or stop engine. After that engine will not start as keyfob will not be around 10 meter range. Securities of push buttons start is rarely have loophole as the radio frequency also keeps on changing every time we lock or unlock so its almost impossible to hack until someone have key with him. However we Indians always have a shallow faith on technology so we go for further security as I am also using a clutch lock and be tension free no matter it’s parked outside or anywhere as clutch will not operate and no one can go away with car even if he breaks glass.

swati srivastava if you have to drive in heavy bumper to bumper traffic then you will get milage of 10-12 kmpl however if traffic is not sever you can get milage if 14-16 kmpl in city and highway you can get milage of 16-23 kmpl depending upon speed you maintains. Less speed (60-75 kmph) more milage more speed (85-170 kmph) less milage. Maintenance cost is lower than Maruti, trust me however accidental repair will be costly.

Give it some time, after 5000 km it will perform better just done rev it and keep rpm below 2500. There is enough power in lower gear you need to be gental on accelerator for milage.

It might be few spare parts should be costly than Maruti Baleno but that is only applicable for accidental repairs.
