Have you seen the price of new hybrids? My 2014 Fusion Energi w/107k miles still gets 42 mpg, and is a true sedan with comforts. Unfortunately the guidance from Ford on 150K transmission fluid changes was destined to create lots of business for new HF35 transmission, currently remanufactured from Ford are around $5400, installation extra. Basically, these older cars are totaled when the transmission goes out and your only fix is at the Ford part pricings, which is a shame, they are very nice cars. Chip is providing an awesome service here. None of my local shops rebuild the HF35, but Chip has figured it out. He could teach courses for $$$ to other techs.
