Those Nitto Ridge Grapplers on the Land Cruiser at 295/70R17 are 33.3"... not quite 35's but they do look really good. Not sure the new turbo 4's on the 2024 'Yota's are going to hold up over time like the 4.0 V6 non turbo on my 5th Gen 4runner. I was kinda thinking about getting a new truck but the prices and staggering drop in quality (Ford, Ram) means I'll be driving my 4Runner for a long time.

When you link your phone to your infotainment system in your vehicle, that data could and many times will be uploaded to companies the automaker works with. They track your vehicle, how you drive it and also your contacts, phone calls and messages. Most people don't know it but your infotainment system has a SIM card in it. If you want make it harder to be tracked by car companies it's a good idea to remove these SIM cards and disable your satellite antenna.

What happens when your car is 15 years old and the person buys it for 5k but the MSRP is 50k so your registration is 2,500? Half the valuation of the vehicle? 😮

They raised prices to offset the massive loss on their EV segment. Ford (was) the "best selling truck in America" because it was functional and CHEAP. All fleet rigs were base model trucks with 4x4 and a V8 and that's all they wanted. For SOME reason, they decided to add in a bunch of (expensive) features and then they forced EVs on us as well. This is why a BASE truck is well north of 40k when 10 years ago that would be nearly a top end model. The entire system is rotten from the material suppliers to the parts fabricators to the assembly plants to the salespeople to the dealerships. EVERY step in this process is WAY too expensive. Consumers won't stand for the brazen thievery, anymore. People are sick of getting ripped off. American products are MADE TO FAIL. This is evident in almost every single vehicle that comes off the line. Two years later, owners are dumping THOUSANDS into costly repairs and wondering WHERE their investment went! It's absolutely ridiculous and the pricing/profit margins are unsustainable. NO vehicle is worth more than $15,000. Period. The craftsmanship sucks, every car looks like every other car with only slight differences (same with trucks!) and the materials seem to be the cheapest available. Super disappointed in the vehicle industry. Cut your prices to 10% of what they currently are, or face bankruptcy and insolvency. You've all been conning the public for FAR too long. Time to wake up to the reality of the situation. Sell your vehicles for what they are REALLY worth, not 6 to 10 TIMES their value. People are smarter than you think and they will let these cars and trucks ROT on the lot until prices drop dramatically.

Just spent 2 months looking for a Ford Mavrick with the options needed and I gave up for the DFW area Ford dealers B.S. and lying about options like the Ford factory installed bed liner being local dealer installed at $1,000 extra. Stopped by a local Honda dealer and 45 minutes later left with a loaded 2024 Honda CRV Touring Hybrid which I love. Got a little discount off MSRP, no B.S. with dealer added options, no B.S. in finance and am getting 44 MPG average over the first 3,000 miles. I’ve seen more of those ecoboosts fail from 2010-2023 than any other vehicle from people I know. I’ve seen them fail in pretty much all sizes in the Focus, Escapes, F-150s, and Tauruses. 3,4, and 6 cylinders all have issues. Blown turbo, blown head gaskets, wet timing belts shredding and blocking the oil sump. The list goes on and on. It’s getting to the point I’ll take a Dodge over an ecoboost. Only good thing Ford has left right now is that 5.0L but even that has a belt driven oil pump now. 🙄 The bean counters are ruining these companies. Cheap parts, rushed design, and to top it off high MSRPs and jackhole dealers. We can complain about the unions all we want but at the end of the day that’s a very small part of the problem. Scummy finance departments/salesman, an intense focus on quarterly stock price with ZERO focus on the future is ruining these companies. It’s been an issue for decades and we’ll probably bail these dumbasses out again just like the previous times.
