Great info thanks mate. Best bit of advice I can give anyone doing this is to use an oil filter claw on the back of it to remove it. It makes it way easier.

How did you open the top cover? above the console, in front of the glass

How did you manage to release the clip on the drivers side? Also I couldn’t find a special tool to turn the motor to release it
