My fan stopped working the other day all of a sudden. It did try to come on, blew a little bit of air, and then stopped. It was 104° outside. Could it just be the resistor? I have a 2014 Focus Titanium with dual zone automatic AC. I ordered the fan and the resistor. Would my resistor be on the driver's side like this car, and if so can I try just replacing the resistor first to see if that fixes the problem, or would it hurt the resistor if it is actually a bad blower fan?

If fan works at 4 and not 123 then it's the resistor, if it's the other way around then it's the switch that needs to be replaced
