I bought mine with 9.5 years of use and 100.000 km, 2.5T engine, manual gearbox. So far an outstanding car, everything works OK. The only issue I had so far is the FRP (Fuel Rail Pressure) sensor malfunction, I bought it online and replaced it myself following youtube tutorials. I invested about USD 1200 in maintenance replacing all fluids and filters including haldex, new discs and brake pads on all wheels, new PCV membrane, timing belt, water pump, service belts, and so on. Had none of the problems described, time will tell. The car feels solid, comfortable, and faster than most of the small SUVs of its era. It shines on long road trips more than on the daily city commute. The downsides are fuel consumption, particularly in the city, around 13 to 15 liter / 100 km, and autonomy, at best 600 km being really kind on the gas pedal, much less in the city.

Did you get the parts online? Can you tell me the website of choice? Thanks!

@@ramonbs6075 I am sure it is easier in other countries, particularly in Europe. Spare parts are scarce here, it can take 2 or 3 months to get all parts, if you are lucky.

I own a 2011 Kuga 2.5T Trend. 235.00km so far. I’m having trouble with the AWD. It doesn’t work and I couldn’t solve it yet. No alarm signals on. Great great engine. I’m really going to miss it when I sell it.

I would suggest getting it checked by a mechanic, it could be a simple fix or a more serious problem.

i have had my ford 2011 2.5t for three years and no problems a very good car and i had a mercedes c class and that gave me problems within the first year. Im not a young person to boot the hell out of cars but the Mercedes gave me a lot of trouble not engine wise but functionality. the ford has given me no problems so far. I have never brought a ford before usually high end German cars i was quite surprised.

maybe someone can help me out with this... I've got a 2.5 T model (automatic). My battery light keeps turning on... I've done all services, I've changed the battery, made a service to the engine alternator, check all cable and connectors (everything it's OK). Does anybody have a clue what it could be? Or did anyone had this issue?

My ex wife has a 2014 1.5 eco-boost petrol auto and it has problems. Only 70,000 Kms and when you lock the car with remote all the windows come down and then the error message of no key detected in car when the key fob has a new battery and is present in the car. She is getting rid of it and I don’t blame her.

I just had this issue myself. Not detecting key and didnt start, replaced key fob battery and still wouldn't start/or recognize. Very random since we had driven the car 2 days ago without issue. 2 months ago bluetooth stopped working with random messages that park assist didnt work always. The mirrors seemed to be slower so I thought of the car battery. I replaced the cars battery and that seemed to fix the keyfob and other issues. I did not get a warning battery was low or dead. I mention the bluetooth because it started working when starting the car that it automatically connected again. Have a look if it is still the original battery with Ford brandname on top of there. Mine is also from 2014 and had the original battery in there. Its a hassle to replace compared to other cars. Took me around 50 mins.

Also: if you open the car and then press another time and hold the open button alll car windows should roll down. Same with locking and pressing another time and hold lock they should all go up.

Some say fords are good some say they're bad. I've had both experiences it's like buying a scratch card. I will not buy another ford, they are cheap and nasty. They don't hold their value very well, repairs and maintenance are frustrating. I've owned and driven hundreds of cars. Ford is not one I'll buy again

Have had loads of fords.never had a problem i couldn't fix myself over a weekend. Good vehicles if you know which engines are solid.

all ford are trash. i had a kuga mk2 and the powershift is a disaster. also after 200k km the typical diesel EGR and DPF problems start. and the kuga mk2.5 at 40k km the injection pump failed on autobahn and had to take it on platform. over 1k euro costs to repair. never going to buy ford again:)
