Thank You.!! I'm torn between the two (2) trucks and you made it a lot easier to help with a decision. I'm for the RIVIAN. BUT ..... I wish it had the 'FRONK' that the Lightnig has. I don't need a 6' or 8' bed. The RIVIAN is perfect for me with their 4' bed.

I just drove by a Rivian that stopped dead in the middle of the main drag in Long Beach, WA. I drove around them in my Lightning with pride.

I'm just a hair under 6' and I'm about 240 lbs, for me one of the things I love about my F150 Lightning Lariat is the abundance of space. I don't feel like a sardine in a can.

I've been driving a BoltEV for more than 5 years and I am sometimes amused at things I've heard from people who couldn't fathom driving an EV. "I would never buy an electric car, did you know that replacing the battery when it''s 3 to 5 years old will cost $30k!" I smile and say the folks who told you that may have been exaggerating a little bit. A new one costs less than $30k now. "You can't drive it long distances because it takes hours to charge." We vacation in a Silverado pickup truck, using the (roughly) $35.00 a week I save from driving the Prius I traded in for my car. That gas savings can pay for two modest 3 day (each) vacations including the gas in the pickup. I charge at home and spending some money on efficiency improvements, AND installing a solar array keeps that monthly bill dramatically cheaper than anyone I know. If you want to drive electric, ignore the horror stories. If you don't want one, don't buy one, reasons not to are easy to dream up too.

The Rivian frunk goes deeper, that carpet panel/floor can be moved up and secured by the magnets.

Comparing these two is a joke. Rivian isn't even in the same league as Ford. I've driven both and the Rivian feels like a rattling box of rocks, the seats feel like concrete and tons of cabin noise. The F150 is quiet, very smooth and much more cargo space.

It’s so cute next to the f150. We’ll call it the Ranger. There are many things I like about the Rivian design and that they are 100% EV focused. A larger interior and bedsize are what Id like. The storage compartment that runs across could be eliminated. But ⚡️ gets my vote

Great comparison. Well actually No Comparison, the Ford beats the Rivian in just about every area except performance. (Note: I personally can't stand the Rivian's headlights.) Then go to the comparison of the Ford Lightning vs. the Ram Revolution... well once again, No Comparison, the Ram beats the Ford, like the Ford beats the Rivian. Also liked you video on the charging of the Ford on your trip and also the problems you had getting the home charger after you got the truck. For the ppl watching this video I'd recommend you check that one out too.

you missed a heap of stuff on the rivian. the rear of the rivian has power just like the ford, but it also has an aircompressor. the WHOLE frunk is a ice chest in the rivian. the rivians app works. the rivian is faster. the rivian has tank turn. I understand your bias, but you cant put them against each other if all you know about the rivian is the colour.

I always laugh when I hear people talk about the back seat But it’s just me. It’s my vehicle I’m never sitting in the back or in the passenger seat so not really concerned with anyone else. My kids are also grown and live in other states. You forgot to show the handle that comes out of the tailgate that helps with getting into the bed

Rivian lost $6.8 billion in 2022. Despite these losses, they have broken ground on a new $5 billion dollar plant in rural Georgia (8 miles from my house). Local communities don't want the plant because it will ruin the tranquil community. The land deal was transferred to the State to be able to bypass local zoning and ordinances. Multiple lawsuits were filed in attempts to halt construction.

This is the most slanted review I have see in recent history and that's saying a lot as i'm almost a full 1/5 of vodka in at midnight!! 1) Rivian came with a taunaue. You said you had to buy yours. "Yours"? Freud? Have a little slip? 2) Ford gets a tailgate step up. Rivian has the side doors that do that same thing but isn't mentioned as such. 3) "one thing you don't get with the Ford is this little compartment" HAHAHAHAHA Such a play off on a great thing. You wish Ford had done it, but they didn't. 4) Hey, the Rivian has more tire and wheel options, but these garbage ones on the Ford look.....uhhhhh.....really nice. 5) They both have frunks. Fords you can sit on. Yeah! He says only the Ford one can work as an ice chest. And if I'm looking, that's only one level on the Ford. The Rivian has 2 sub-levels so that you can separate thing. Almost as if that front lip was insulation when you're trying to keep things cool! 6) Yeah, The Rivian has outlets in front as well. Not 40 of them but do you need 40? 7) I like I can lock the keys in the Ford. Never talks about the Rivian option which is better for the same scenario. 8) Seat size comparison. @6:40 he steps on the Rivian's controls. (watch his right foot) This means that the seat is set to the ease of exit mode. When this is set and you park, the seat moves all the way back and the steering wheel all the way to the dash. When you come back to the truck and get in and touch the controls, it all comes back to you normal driving position. So, when he goes to sit in the back after this part, the truck already did what it was told to do, and the seat is all the way back. This would be more accurate if he had done these tests in the passenger seats. My guess is, he did this on purpose. 9) More missing information: 9.a) Rivian has 835 hp 9.b) Rivian torque 906 ft lb 9.c) Rivian currently has larger batter pack 9.d) Rivian can tow 1,200 lbs more than the Ford 9.e) Rivian isn't just a work truck. It can go off road. It can beat super cars. All within the same hour. Ford......has a lot of plugs.

Ford & GM have been building cars and trucks for 100+ years. Their build quality is much better than these new EV companies that have been building cars and trucks for only a few years. Tesla's software and OS is much better than Ford & GM, their build quality is much worse.

Agree and disagree. EVs are basically computerized batteries built into a skateboard chassis, with a car or truck body bolted on top. It is a whole new game. Legacy has advantages and disadvantages.

FUD motors is a FCUKING joke. the F150 Lightweight , is crap. its Already OUTDATED, and its build on a OLD FASHIONED horse & buggy Platform. both Trucks are too SLOW, too HEAVY, too short RANGE , too INEFFICIENT . the 2023 TESLA Cybertruck is way BETTER , is Faster, w/ longer RANGE, is more EFFICIENT. the QUAD motor Cybertruck has BEST in class PAYLOAD of 5,000 lbs w/ 6 People that can go 500+ miles, and TOW 20,000 lbs. its still FASTER than a PORSCHE 911 , at 0 - 60 under 2.0 seconds w/ 6 people & 5,000 lbs. Body on frame is a nice design that's stood the test of time. Tesla's cast frames may crack in an accident in which case they're unrepairable. I don't know how the Rivian is constructed.

Yet it has over 10 billion in cash , and is in a better position than Telsa 6 years ago. It has trouble keeping up with orders, And all Tesla has are imaginary specs, and an imaginary car, and even YOUR specs are beyond Tesla's imagination. Expect Cyber Truck in 2026 . And the reason, no road testing, and Tesla has other things (sure bets) to worry about.

Cybertruck can raise the FRONT & lower the REAR at the same time , and it has a Retractable metal Ramp . similar to RIVIAN the Cybertruck has Adaptave AIR suspension, which FUD Lightweight lacks. you CANT take FUD Lightweight off road.
