Look at copart, and see how many Hyundai have engine problems, none for the Atkinson cycle ford's.

I’ve had my bare bones (except for &100 trailer hitch), $19,640 MSRP (after $2,750 ‘22-‘23 rollover credit) for 2 years in 3 days. I loved it from day one, and still do after almost 20K miles. I’ve had minimal issues, nothing that left me stranded.

Where are all these Mavericks that are being sold?
@richardwoodruff47052 күн бұрын
My 2 year old 2023 Maverick hybrid has 20,000 miles, and its lifetime average fuel economy is 42 MPG. I have roughly a 50/50 mix of highway and city miles. Close to 600 miles per 13.8 gallon tankful.
@jameslester44742 күн бұрын
Sounds like it's perfect for your needs. You didn't mention one thing unexpected or bad. That's what's good about it, if you don't think it's a mini f150 there's no surprises.

I have a 2023 hybrid XLT with 25,000 miles and zero problems. I'm getting 40 Miles per gallon which is why I bought it. It has plenty of get up and go and I'm pretty much 80 mph Everywhere I Go.
@jameslester44742 күн бұрын
Wow, you must be a very skilled driver. 80 MPH everywhere you go, must be a sight driving through town, and in parking lots, and how the heck can you pull into your driveway at 80 without hitting the curb or something is far beyond me. Hats of to you...😂

I have a 2024 Maverick XL with the Ecoboost engine. It is a great truck that rides and handles very good. It is averaging between 29 and 30 miles per gallon. I don't need a bigger truck with all the bells and whistles. The build quality on my truck is just fine. No rattles or complaints!
@phoenixrising76233 күн бұрын
What part of small truck you don't get don't compare this to midsize truck, people buy it because it's a small not mid-size, and stop comparing it to Hyundai Santa Cruz which is a totally different truck

I have a 2024 AWD Maverick. I like the truck and have 7K on it. It rides great, and it is easier to park than my old F150. It also fits my needs
@richardwoodruff47052 күн бұрын
The hybrid has a whopping 190 combined HP! I am used to 52 HP VW 80s diesels. Worked fine even on the highway. Then I got a VW turbodiesel, with lots of power and pep with its 90 HP, 149 ft.-lb. of torque. But with the Maverick, I routinely almost NEVER go over 20% power. Highway on ramps have plenty of length to accelerate at a steady 20% power to get to highway speeds.

Going on 3 years in June of 2025, now with 50k miles, the truck runs like new. I just changed tires and battery, and maybe in a few months, I'll do the breaks.

Is it right for me? The hybrid model is the ONLY truck less that 4000 lbs that you can tow 4 wheels down behind an RV. None of the others mentioned and broadly considered a competitor qualify PERIOD! It is the only choice in the truck segment, otherwise someone would have to go to a small group of SUV's that would be approved by the manufacturer for 4 down towing.

I love my 23 XL Hybrid. Not one issue after 30k miles. There has been a couple of software updates but nothing has broken yet !! It’s all I need for a city truck
@saysbadman3 күн бұрын
The hybrid makes a lot of sense to me. The setup is very similar to Toyota Hybrids. In fact the company that makes E-CVT for Ford also makes E-CVTs for Toyota. Also one thing overlooked by people is they call it a CVT instead of an E-CVT. The difference is that an E-CVT does not use any belts! It's a simple transmission that won't shred any belts, and it's not a slush box. I wish they would set it up to tow more than 2000 pounds. The Toyota Sienna is a 2.5l E-CVT, and can tow 3500 pounds.

For being a bare bones XL, my '23 Maverick hybrid has very respectable standard features, such as cloth seats, air conditioning, power windows, cruise control, automatic transmission. For my pre-ordered 1995 F-150, I had to pay EXTRA for all these things.

Yet to find a fault with my 2024 Ford marverick XL hybrid. I bought it for it's fuel efficiency and it has delivered. So far, no complaint.

27,000 mi first edition Maverick hybrid lariat. The brakes do grab at low speed, the transmission will come into a neutral when at a traffic light on a slight incline and clunk when engaging. Same engine start battery issues that everybody else seems to be talking about! Engine failure issue and batteries are covered by 10-year 100,000 mi warranty. 36.7 mile per gallon average, AC runs non-stop in Texas which sucks the Go-Go juice! Overall, happy with the little pickup and it will not be leaving this family anytime soon!

It will be one year on January 26th since taking delivery of my 2024 XLT $27,149.00. I LOVE IT. Coming from a 2002 Dodge Neon, I needed a truck for my home and garden projects. Before Ford introduced the Maverick, I looked at used midsized trucks like the Colorado. They were very difficult to find, and when I did find one, it was on a lifted package. I take my mother to run errands and appointments. I am also getting long in the tooth, and I don't need to try any kind of climbing. So, easy access and egress is a factor. Then there is price. I got the XLT with the minimum option package just for the full-size spare tire, and it is still under 30K. I don't tow. There is no need for a towing package. I'm not looking to move logs around my quarter acre property. As for reliability, it's better than the Neon. A Bluetooth adapter from Amazon took care of the lack of copilot 360. I am enjoying the remote start from the app along with all of the other app features. After 7,189 miles and 11 months, 10 days of ownership. I have no complaints. Will I buy again? Yes, I would buy another 2024. I hate the new front facia and screen in the 2025.

My Maverick is great in every way you don't buy a small truck to do big truck stuff it's the most perfect truck for what I bought it for the gentleman's truck that occasionally I might buy something bulky like a Bowflex off of Facebook marketplace or that washing machine from the mall. Never construction, I might tow my 200 lb trailer with my kayak on it, but it has all the comfort of a car. The fuel efficiency of a car and it absolutely refuses to get stuck if I drive it on the beach or off-road which most people never do and I live in New Mexico where there's plenty of places and probably 10% of people do it. The rest of them just stay on the road and park in the parking lot so there's nothing wrong with this truck. It's perfect.😊

One reason is Ford can’t offer FordPass through Wheels fleet company. Apparently Ford can’t figure out how to give individual access to each fleet vehicle user. Seems simply, charge the VIN.

As a driver/owner of a Honda Ridgeline, I just smile condescendingly at the Maverick. Cheap like its namesake of the '70's.
@jameslester44742 күн бұрын
Well, I'll say this ...the Maverick of the 1970s was a small car, that probably outweighed this truck even with its hybrid battery, because back then Ford still used STEEL in the car, and it was a stout little thing. And realistically you can't compare the Maverick and Ridgeline, as the Ridgeline is a midsize truck, and would be far and away My Choice being a Honda made in the US, and not a entry level Mexican Ford Import.

I like almost everything about the Santa Cruz but will not get one due to the CVT transmission.
@7892953 күн бұрын
@@steveroberts1292 The Santa Cruz does NOT have a CVT transmission. The base models have the traditional 8 speed hyundai transmission. The turbo models like mine have an 8 speed dual clutch transmission. No CVT at all!
@steveroberts12923 күн бұрын
@@789295 sorry, my mistake. The DCT is what I meant. I had one in a Ford focus and it was trash. Ford refused to admit there was an issue. I finally traded the car off, Ford ended up dealing with a class action lawsuit over that transmission. I see there are many instances of DCT issues with the Santa Cruz as well. Complete transmission failures. I won't take a gamble on another DCT transmission, especially one with reported issues.
