Hello Poul, inspired by this video, I decided to heat the seats in my Mondeo vehicle. I made the necessary heating switch and connections, but when I looked at the vehicle seat connections with the control pen, I could not see that there was electricity coming. There are the necessary roles and sockets in the vehicle, I wonder what is the reason? Best regards Holy

Yes with Keyless start, it would be a straight swap

great - thanks - surprised to see red lights on the switch at start up though, it's a default that the heated seats are powered on?

Default setting is off. led lights on both side of switch are red when heated seats or on, Blue when seat cooling in on.

@@Alanwmrt you can strip down a wiring loom to remove what you need and then add it your existing loom. Replacing a complete loom, one from a auto won't work in a manual, for example its missing wiring for clutch pedal switch and more

Hi ,watched both your videos on the seat instalation,seats are all in and functioning,as regards to installing the heater switches,i get the bit about slitting the loom to get the wire,the bit i'm confused with is when you say you unclip the red insert and take the 2 cables out and put them in the other connector,you do this off video,is there a special tool or is it just straight forward,my cable is arriving tomorrow,cheers

Is very straight forward, I used a small thin terminal screw driver.

Just found your videos on fitting heated/cool seats. I’ve just bought a mondeo mk4.5 with part leather seats fitted and I want to add the heated/cool function. Everything is there but am struggling to find the additional loom I need. Is it the same as what you used in your video? Would really appreciate the help

Hi Paul, I am fitting heated / cooled half leathers into my 2008 Mondeo Hatchback 2L TDCi Ghia. I have everything in hand BUT I am not clear on which switch unit to buy - there seem to be hundreds of these things on Ebay, many purporting to be 'the right ones'. How do I filter down to the right one? Incidentally, I also have walnut trim which I plan to keep, so it looks like I will need to retrofit the switch just in front of the cup holders..? Depends if wiring is present on main body wiring loom, Some Mondeo mk4's are not equipped with required wiring.

Manuls heating controls to digital climate controls ? Yes but you require complete heater assembly, climate control panel and complete dash wiring loom.

If all wiring, fuses and relay is present. Heated seats will work. Programming is not required

@@Youremywifenkwdave No rear junction box, then no wiring for heated seats. Only way to go forward, is a retrofit option. By adding all wiring, fuses and relay.

Do you have correct switch ? as there are 2 available, 1 for heated seat only and the other for heated/cooled seats.
