Ford Mondeo mk4 Heated seats upgrade - Part 1

Changing out old seats, for Mondeo Titanium Heated / Cooled seats.
Checking wiring if wiring is present. Also checking rear junction / fuse box for correct fuse placements.

Hi I just found the video, which I'm very happy about. Recently, I bought my mondeo, but unfortunately, it hasn't gotten any heated seats I would like to ask if the 2014 mk 4.5 titanium x 2.0 diesel model has this preparation for seat heating. I can't find it, or the fuse board is not like the one in the video. Would it be possible for me to take it and you to do it? 😊 Thank you

I love this I have a mondeo edge 58.plate and I've done everything you have so far with this car, I had the rear electric windows ready to go in untill inhad a gearbox issue I've now bought a ghia 08 plate and my powerfolds don't fold with key

Auto powerfold will need to been enabled in BCMii vehicle configuration.

Great video! I also have a problem installing my heated seats. I retrofitted original Ford Individual seats and connected everything correctly and activated it in ELMConfig. Unfortunately, the heating level of the switch only lights up briefly, then nothing happens...

Hi Paul, i dont suppose theres any chance you still have the wiring diagram for this job? I only have metal connectors on the right side of the fuse holder. Thank you so much, you've given me the confidence to takle this job... much to the wifes dismay 😂

Excellent video.. i only have the 1 fuse box in the back dont have the relay for the heated seats, can i still get this to work?

If wiring not present. You'll have to retrofit wiring, to get them to work. - I can provide wiring diagrams if requested.

I am installing the seats with your video😊! Question, my car is a facelift. I dont have the fuses in those positions, I have a metal connector on the right side of the fuse box but not on the left, does it mean I dont have the wiring? Does your fuses have both sides metal holders for fuses in this positions?

Unfortunately you will not have all relevant wiring. Only option is to retrofit. I can provide you with wiring diagram if requested

My driver's seat is at the very bottom. the wires shorted and i cut them.. i can't reach the torque screws of the seat what should i do.. thank you

Paul, thanks for the video. I have a mk 4.5 mondeo titanium x buisness and have been looking for a long time for a video like yours as there arnt any on KZbin. I wanted to add heated and cooled seats but havnt got a clue what to do. I currently have half leather seats the exact same as what you have but no heated functions. Also my fuse boxes look different to yours but looking at diagrams I have the fuses. Can you put a link on what wiring is needed for the control panel box or will you be doing this in part 2. I want to buy the parts so I can get it all done. Mate your video is great 👍

Ate you upgrading the front headlights to projectors I did this and it was a massive ballacke

Out of curiosity did you do a video on upgrading the headlights. I'm very keen to do mine as I have the standard halogen head light on a titanium x buisness 2013 TDCI. Would be great if a video was out there on how to do it and what extra parts I would need as im not the most mechanical minded person.

Are the heated Alcantara seats more comfortable to sit in than the standard Zetec ones? I get backache from the current Zetec seats so curious if these are any softer/more comfy.

If there is no heated seat buttons then no heated seats, As for wiring for heated seats - Check rear fuse panel.
