Agree. That’s one of the reasons why I went SS 1LE over GT350. Think it’s 25k for a new 350 motor. Mach 1 manual would be my pick if I switched to a stang. But I’m not. Prefer my 1LE.

Literally just steped out my mach 1 that Que and the guys at the straight pipes convinced me to get a few years ago. I got this car when it was 60k with the handling pack and tremec. It would be crazy to not consider this sub 50. Thanks again Q for the suggestion. Still lovin' this thing !

Great video! I love my Mach 1, first thing I did was take off those pilot for 4's and put some Continental DWS '06 + and no more rock pickup or tramlining. I did a resonator delete and added a H pipe, 93 tune and MGW shifter and it's perfect.

Total bullshit‼️😎 I drove the S550 GT & Mach I on the street and on the track verses the S650 and the Dark Horse!!! The new GT S650 is significantly better driving than the S550 GT. The Dark Horse was the best driving Mustang ever, better than the Mach I even better than the GT-500!!!! It makes sense if you study what was enhanced on the Dark Horse!!! No comparison at all. Go drive the new cars and go to the track and you will be convinced easily‼️‼️👊💪‼️ Night and day difference both the GT & the Dark Horse. I have several sets of tires used from tracking my Mach I. The Dark Horse Handling equipped Mustang is head and shoulders better than the Mach I. I sold my Mach I and have a Dark Horse on order. So much bullshit in the remarks from people who haven’t even driven the 7th generation Mustang. The Mach I is a great Mustang; the Dark Horse is definitely better. If it wasn’t then Ford would be going under. Hell Ford lost $5 Billion dollars on their EVs!!! The 7th generation Mustang is the best Mustang ever. The Dark Horse is better than the GT-350 also. My racing partner blew the engines on (2) two GT-350/350R Mustangs. 👍👊💪🐎🇺🇸😎🏆

I waited to see the Darkhorse before I ordered my 2SS 1LE 2023 Which I never got so ordered 5 2024's and I did get 1 out of the 5,But it was between those 2 ,The deal breaker was the iPad dash ,and also the price was 10gs more than I anticipated, with that said I love my 1LE

I pick the Mach1 over the Dark horse but not over the GT350 lol Also I like Que ball shifter, I feel like it's right on Que #Somepunintended lol I was actually looking at Mach1's before I bought the Golf R but I couldn't find any locally with the leather seats, for me I couldn't spend that much money and get cloth seats lol. The Mach1's are great cars though I might still get one eventually.

I’ll tell you what Man…the Darkhorse is on my radar because of the Tremec manual option and the future tuning potential of being able to bolt on the Roush 800hp supercharger system. Having said that…the future Shelby GT500 will be coming soon so decisions,decisions…😁👍

We have extremely similar taste in cars! I really like these things and thinking about trading my recently acquired CT4vbw. The BW is an amazing car, but for me I wish it has more character and was a bit more fun for street driving. It takes a ton of effort to get it to slide a bit off a corner and you can tell it just does not want to. Kind of reminds me of a 911 or Boxster. I could care less about lap times, I just want to have fun and feel like I am actually having to work for it. Does this Mach 1 get lose predictably if you want it to? I have twin 6 year old boys in boosters right now, so the only hassle would be for getting them in an our all the time. Might be worth it for that V8 glory. Thanks Q!

I prefer this car to the brand new one because I hate a giant screen and reduced number of buttons and controls. You need some nice driving shoes that would make your feet more narrow. I have been using some Adidas SL 72 RS that are working well.

Nice video. The highlight of the S550 generation was the GT500. BUT….for the N/A game, the winner was the Mach 1 HP. I respect the GT350R for the looks and the sound, but the lack of reliability kills it for me. The Mach 1 HP performs just as well, and the Coyote, is just phenomenal. The Dark Horse is 4,000 lbs with an additional 20 HP. It’s unattractive, more expensive and it has a locked ECU. Hard pass.

First of all the Darkhorse Does offer the Tremec 6060 6spd or 10spd also, plus Diff cooler with fans larger oil and trans coolers better track advantage, stronger built largely forged bottom end the Mach doesn't have factory, not to mention better tech and looks are equal, dollar for dollar the DK is better

Without after market tuning! The 10speeds in the DH are way above the S550 and even Tremec says they stepped the internals of the 6spd up on the Darkhorse! My final comment !!

You are Full of it! The dark horse engine is mostly forged bottom end forged crank and crank gear and rods, The darkhorse has the Tremec TR6060 also duh! They have factory diff cooler with fans better track capability etc, and I've raced both on the streets the Darkhorse stock for stock is faster. And when tuning comes it over

@@Coyote9smilespergallonFrom a person with two supercharged mustangs, the DH is nowhere close to justified on the price. 650 more pounds on the same compression rate engine that has upgrades which aren’t normally ran into unless you push 1200+ whp? 99% of owners don’t do that. If they were really “in-tune” they would do more than upgrading one commonly upgraded part(crank gear sprockets), the engine doesn’t have any OPG upgrades which is the critical failure point of revving on 5.0’s. The DH comes with a Tremec 3160 rated for 420hp trucks at best, not a 6060. On boosted Mustang setups recorded through forums the Mach 1 and DH have as many or more issues than the MT82-D4. It feels good, but the actual drivetrain does not do anywhere close to what was advertised. $65,000+ for a set of wheels/tires/suspension/and exterior looks besides the minuscule engine changes sadly doesn’t warrant it.

So for you to use the money as an excuse not to buy one, yet spend a bunch on upgrades is moronic! The Darkhorse comes with tons of upgrades over the GT that would cost you well over $10k not counting installation! They are Track ready cards that with a Whipple is faster than the more expensive GT500, hence they are not overrated except by haters

@@Coyote9smilespergallon Do you want proof of my full builds or something? Have a 22 GT with an ESS G3 centri supercharger and OPG/CS upgrades and an 02’GT with a procharger P1X head unit. I know what I like lol. It definitely adds up over time though, you’re right there. After doing fuel system work and injectors/etc I almost doubled the price of my head unit in supporting parts just initially(in my s550 build). No reason to really be upset over this though. People are allowed to have different opinions, especially on the materialistic things in life in this economy. I’ve driven a Mach 1 and DH before both with the 3160 and they are nice and well-rounded, just more fitting of a collectors or track oriented vehicles based on their prices and features in comparison to base models in my personal opinion. The average person is not going to FI their newly purchased car, even with a warranty. Gotta consider the “normal” buyers market to these vehicles sadly.
