Mustang can comfortably go around a corner at speed with its IRS and Challenger can’t. Challenger is a car from 2007 deliberately designed to behave like a car from the 70s, which I guess is cool if you’re also the type to be a Harley guy, whereas the Ford for all of its many faults was actually intended to compete with modern sports cars.
@GloomToon5 күн бұрын
Mustang. Has more features that you don’t have to pay for (heated seats, blind spot monitors, lane departure warnings). It also has active rev match, hill start assist, and wireless CarPlay while the challenger doesn’t have that. It’s also faster if you exclude the demon models ofcourse

People will complain, but Ford is basically the last brand doing this. We heard for years how enthusiasts would be willing to pay a lot more for V8 muscle cars if brands committed to keeping them around. If enthusiasts back down now, it just proves it's us who's to blame. The sports car market keeps dwindling. That means brands have to charge more to maximize per unit profits to make it sustainable. I'm not gonna hate Ford for trying to appeal to enthusiasts just because making sports cars is getting more expensive.

I love mustangs, I have a S550. The S650 is a COMPLETE rip off! Ford took a S550 and gave it the “New Edge” treatment, put a flat screen in it and an extra throttle body. I’d definitely go with a wide body challenger. They have a ton of character compared to the S650.

The car I bought will build for more than 5k what I just payed for the 2024 and it doesn't even have the wireless charger, so it is less car for a lot more money! That said, they are taking a shot thinking that people may pay bc they have no competition for MT V8 cars. What will happen is this: When people are not eager to buy, they will lower prices and offer big rebates, so don't trip. Just don't build or build if there is no deposit and refuse the car and make the dealers sweat it out. When they offer deals, pick it up. Go ahead and buy a used Challenger if you have no plans for boost.

I doubt it has anything to do with regulations if you haven't already seen what your president-elect is doing within the automotive industry. Its more so Ford is the only American manufacturer producing a affordable V8 sports car as GM only offering a Corvette or their Cadillacs products. So as a manufacturer, why not capitalize on that as it's the only offering.
