Awesome engineering folks..... I highly recommend getting your hands on one of these last American Supercar Ford Shelby SVT GT-500 machines before they completely change the rules of of the game on performance and exclusivity. I am totally stoaked about owning this exceptionally exhilarating and dominating display of raw testosterone. All smiles, comments, and respect everytime I turn on the key.

its cool to see a woman put more effort than a man in making a good car review video and also is cool knowing that she read all the specs and memorise it for the video belove me or not some of the other car reviews just talk about how bad are the brakes when they actually are great almost perfect for a heavy muscle car. keep the great car reviews and i support and im subscribing asap.

When Car and Driver tested this car, they stated that this car would never do 202 MPH. They stated that at 184 MPH it was pulling 0.001 g's in acceleration. In other words, it would take a LONG time to do 200 MPH. Now don't go jumping over me because I'm "dissing" the GT500, I'm just restating information.

Every one should have a Shelby GT500. I have a 2011 and although it doesn't have the extra 100 horses or the track package it is a blast to drive. 550 up front and 495 at the rear wheels is pretty respectable. The newer Shelbys with 700 and 1000 hp is nuts. Unless you're going to track your car nobody needs that kind of power. I do laping days a couple times a year at two local tracks 495 is plenty for me.

i´ve heard several times that launching this GT500 in daily driving in city or heavy traffic could be frustrating ? It tends always to spin the wheels even when the road is dry ? If so, how to drive this in wet conditions and than why this car is factory "street legal" ???

Gotta do more than pinch the pennies. With 2015 around the corner and the rumored restyling... I've heard that they Shelby's engine is going to be retired because it just won't fit. The one thing I worry about the vast opening of the front-end. I could see daily drivers installing a filter to help block bugs, rocks, and pretty much anything the size of a small deer from being eaten. I had to install a filter for my RX-8's oil coolers as they were out, too.

Take the keys from her.. The car actually handles extremely well. Don't let her driving inexperience change your mind. It will get around the track faster than the 2013 corvette zr1 no matter how many corners. Don't go racing on city streets in any car, they aren't slanted or smoothed for high speed.

Plasma transferred wire arc (PTWA) thermal spraying is a thermal spraying process that deposits a coating on the internal surface of a cylinder, or on the external surface of a part of any geometry. It is predominantly known for its use in coating the cylinder bores of an engine, enabling the use of aluminum engine blocks without the need for heavy cast iron sleeves. wiki

The track and performance package is not bad, but you can do A LOT better with the aftermarket. Also, if you prefer drag racing, which most muscle car people do, those two packages are worthless. A set of drag radials or slicks will do you much better. I'd buy a 2013 or 2014 GT500 if I could find one with no options, or maybe with recaros, but it's so hard to do so. All I find is cars with ALL options. :(
